JOB TITLE: Communications Officer
DEPARTMENT: Communications and Membership Pillar
SALARY RANGE: Kshs 120,000- 150,000 gross with medical and pension only.
The purpose of the job is to create creative, hope-based and engaging print, audio-visual content for Amnesty digital platforms, social media channels and publications to support our campaigning work. The position will also document, edit and design and publish high-quality motivational materials that captures the work of our members, supporters and circles of conscience across the country. .

We are looking for someone with the following experience;
ESSENTIAL
• At least a bachelor degree in a relevant field (journalism, communications, gender, community development, human rights, international development or other social science)
• At least 2 years relevant experience in content creation and curation
• Excellent writing and visualization skills with an eye to detail, accuracy and inspiring others
• Demonstrated experience of using design tools and software (canva, photoshop among others)
• Demonstrated experience of survey tools (survey monkey, google forms among others)
• Proven ability to react to fast changing political situations, exercising and promoting creative thinking;
• Demonstrated experience use of social media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram among others).

DESIRABLE
• Demonstrated experience or understanding of human rights
• An understanding and appreciation of data privacy & protection laws in Kenya
• Current membership in one or more associations or networks
