Ilara Health brings accurate and affordable diagnostics to the 500 million people in Africa who today struggle to access a simple blood test. We distribute low-cost, AI-powered diagnostic devices directly to primary care doctors in peri-urban and rural clinics, where the availability of common diagnostics is very poor. Our proprietary software integrates all the devices that we distribute and enables the doctor to provide effective patient management. We use technology to bring light to a dark world of healthcare in a similar way technology has leapfrogged landlines, banking and electricity grids.
About the job Growth Associate - New Products
Ilara Health is seeking to recruit a Growth/BD Associate to support the expansion of new medical product lines for deployment across clinics in various regions. Ilara Health distributes new, high quality diagnostic devices to undeserved primary health clinics that struggle to afford even basic equipment. The successful candidate/s will be responsible for coordinating, conducting and collecting data for new product launches tested throughout Ilara’s partner facilities. The ideal person for this job has experience working in agile, fast-paced environments and is comfortable working autonomously across various teams. .
Responsibilities
• Assist with design and implementation of pilot programs for new diagnostic devices at primary care clinics;
• Track and evaluate impact of programs, including establishing deadlines and KPIs;
• Establish strong relationships with healthcare facilities and personnel, with frequent and effective communication to ensure success of projects;
• Research, understand, and identify gaps in diagnostic services across primary healthcare in Kenya & Sub-Saharan Africa;
• Research and identify disruptive medical diagnostic devices suitable for the primary healthcare context;
• Work cross-functionally with a number of internal and external stakeholders;
• Collaborate closely with the team members to provide effective solutions to support business and quality objectives;

Minimum Requirements
• > 3 years of working experience in fast paced environment (eg startups, consulting, investment banking);
• Team player with great organizational skills who can operate independently in a deadline driven and fast-paced environment;
• Ability to build fruitful relationships with various stakeholders;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Have strong computer skills;
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Swahili
Is a (big) plus
• Demonstrated understanding of the medical diagnostics landscape in Kenya;
• Experience in designing and implementing healthcare programs, including in the delivery of diagnostics in Sub-Saharan Africa;
• Basic technical knowledge of diagnostic devices is a plus;
