JOB DESCRIPTION
REPORTING TO OPERATIONS MANAGER

JOB OVERVIEW
Supervise Manufacturing Suite, responsible for a team producing veterinary pharmaceutical products to the highest standards for distribution
The Production supervisor will drive performance and embed a continuous Improvement culture to deliver Customer orders on time.
Adherence with all aspects of the Quality Management System and the Environmental Health & Safety system are critical within the manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Operations Manager the production supervisor will ensure products are manufactured compliantly and aligned with regulatory authority standards regionally..

Key Responsibilities
• Understand and follow the company's Health & Safety policies .
• Comply with the Environmental management system and minimize environmental impact where possible
• Drive a 'safety culture and an appreciation of the material, processes and systems
• Coordinate and plan the production schedule
• Provide leadership to team leaders to ensure production goals and targets are met
• Responsible for Operational and Compliance

KPI’s in area
• Ensure a process of review of performance and continuous improvement are embedded within the team.
• Ability to work as a team with other departments such as Engineering, Validations and Quality to ensure all production equipment and areas are fully compliant with all GMP and Customer requirements
• Ensure cleaning of equipment and facilities is carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures to avoid contamination
• Actively engage in continuous improvement programs ensuring that all manufacturing activities are carried out in the most cost effective manner. minimizing reject levels and maximizing yields to ensure that daily production targets and annual departmental goals are met
• Adhere to the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice ensuring product is manufactured within the defined parameters of the Quality Management System, Where deviations occur suggest and implement CAPAS. Participate in investigations and suggest CAPAS for manufacturing issues
• Perform regular internal compliance audits and external audits as required
• Drive high standards of performance within the team and identify development needs skills gaps
• Work towards the company mission, strategy and culture

Essential Criteria
• At least a Diploma Degree in chemistry Biochemistry or science related course
• A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a busy pharmaceutical industry
• Experience and understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, regulatory, quality and validation requirements, pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
• Excellent IT skills (Powerpoint, Excel, Word) organizational & communication skills with ability to successfully implement change
