Job Description
The position reports to the Head of Finance and Operations. The incumbent will manage all ICT services. In addition, the candidate will draft and implement the information security policy. This position is responsible for establishing the appropriate ICT infrastructure, managing and troubleshooting the core banking system and other peripheral systems, assisting end-users in understanding and troubleshooting the bank's application, and ensuring that service level agreements are in place for efficient service delivery by internal departments and external parties. The ICT manager ensures user access to hardware and software while ensuring that ICT security arrangements are not breached
.

Responsibilities
• Install computer equipment, hardware, and operating systems.
• Provide support to ensure that the core banking system operates optimally with consistent uptime above 99%.
• Log any ICT system malfunctions with the group engineering team for urgent resolution and advise customers on troubleshooting application performance issues.
• Document all user issues and queries and maintain them in a database for tracking and data mining for continuous improvement.
• Establish a disaster recovery site that mirrors the core banking system and other critical peripheral systems and ensure that the site is successfully tested and functioning.
• Define rules of use and security measures.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance through scheduled maintenance programs and responses in line with agreed TATs, respectively.
• Coordinate and implement hardware and software upgrades;
• Draft and implement information security policies and procedures.
• Ensure implementation of measures to improve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Bank's information.
• Ensure that MIS reports are available on time for regulatory reporting and internal use.
• Ensure that user requirements (hardware, software, and support) are identified and met in all functional areas.
• Ensure that regular system upgrades, including software upgrades, are performed to achieve optimal performance;
• Work with group engineering and product teams to provide critical input for system upgrades, new peripheral systems, and new products.
• Identify and propose new partnerships that add value to existing systems and products and enhance our competitive advantage.
• Define and establish the appropriate communication infrastructure to assist communication within the Bank and with external parties within set boundaries and compliance with the information security policy.

Qualifications and skills
• Must hold a bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science from a recognized university.
• Must demonstrate innovation and creativity.
• Must have the ability to explain technical issues to end-users in plain language; Must have the ability to explain the technical problems to end-users in simple language; Must have the ability to explain the technical issues to end-users in plain language.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
