Detailed Description
This is the entry and training grade for Degree holders in this cadre. Duties and responsibilities in this position shall entail assisting in:
- Receiving and evaluating applications for multimedia services in accordance with the market structure and laid down processes and procedures to ensure the applications meet requirements,
- Recommending the findings to the Communications Licensing Committee for consideration,
- Providing secretarial services to the Communications Licensing Committee,
- Issuing licenses to multimedia applicants in accordance with the market structure and laid down processes and procedures,
- Processing license renewals in line with established processes and procedures,
- Addressing industry issues in relation to operations and provide appropriate interventions/recommendations,
- Maintaining a database/register of all licensed multimedia licensees,
- Providing input with regard to developments of guidelines and policies, review of regulations legislation, and ICT policy with respect to multimedia licensing and market development.
- Ensuring received license applications are processed efficiently and outcomes are delivered to customers within stipulated periods,
- Providing inputs for management papers related to licensing,
- Identifying specific national interest, developing national positions and champion the same at international fora, treaty and non-treaty conferences.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Statistics or any other related field from a recognized institution,
- Proficiency in computer applications,
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
