Detailed Description
This is the entry and training grade for Degree holders in this cadre. Duties and responsibilities in this position shall entail assisting in:
- Processing Insurance claims for both staff and the Authority (general, motor, group life, travel etc.),
- Assessing and validatation of submitted documentation for completeness and accuracy before forwarding to brokers or underwriters,
- Monitoring claims status, ensuring timely resolution and escalating delayed or complex claims as required,
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date claims, records and databases,
- Supporting staff education on scope of cover and entitlements,
- Supporting the annual policy renewal process by compiling required data and liaising with brokers, underwriters, and the supply chain management Department,
- Provision of insurance data insights to inform budgeting, risk exposure management, and staff wellness initiatives,
- Responding to staff inquiries on insurance coverage, claims processes, and benefit entitlements,
- Providing onboarding support to new employees, orienting them on available insurance benefits and claims procedures,
- Processing payments for outsourced services and utilities,
- Safeguaring administrative files and maintain proper storage,
- Perform any other administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines - Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Governance, Bcom Finance, Actuarial, Risk or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution,
- Certificate in Computer Applications,
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
