DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
An Officer at this level will undertake the following duties under the guidance of a more experienced officer;
• Supervises rehabilitation and maintenance works related to water supply systems
• Supervises casuals and other staff during maintenance works
• Selects and assembles the proper tools and materials for job
• Provides carpentry, masonry, mechanical, welding, plumbing and other related services
• Develops list of materials required for above works
• Preparation of budgets for materials and casual labor

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPOINTMENT
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
• A Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in Electrical
• Served for 3 years in the position of Artisan III
• KCSE Grade D plain

Applicants are required to get clearance from the following institutions to meet requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya:
• Kenya Revenue Authority
• Higher Education Loans Board
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
• Criminal Investigation Department
• Credit Reference Bureau

Work Hours: 8

Level of Education: Professional Certificate
