Background

We’re looking for a dedicated Rangeland Officer to join the One Mara Carbon Project (OMCP). The project is an ecosystem-level conservation initiative in the Maasai Mara working to restore degraded lands, protect biodiversity, and deliver meaningful climate and community benefits through carbon markets.

Role Overview

The Rangeland Officer will support sustainable grazing management and rangeland restoration across the Greater Mara Ecosystem. This role will work directly with pastoral communities, conservancies, and technical teams to guide community-driven grazing plans, monitor rangeland health, strengthen local capacity, and support the project’s carbon measurement and reporting efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

If you have experience in rangeland or pastoralist systems, strong skills in grazing planning and GIS tools, and a passion for community-based conservation, we’d be glad to hear from you.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
