Gathani Ltd was established in 1931 by Mr. Bachulal Gathani.

The company has been in existence for the past 90 years in East Africa. Our Head Quarter is located Nairobi, Kenya and our associated companies are located in Uganda, Tanzania & Zambia. Our buying offices are located in UK, India & China and help us with a vast pool of sources and suppliers



We take pride in being one of the leading importers of Garage and Workshop consumables, Tyre & Tube Repair Materials, Fuel & Oil Filters, automotive refinishing products and allied items in East & Central Africa. Our products are mainly imported from European Manufacturers for whom we are the sole agents in East Africa.



We grew our operations across East Africa starting with Uganda in 1990, Tanzania in 1995 and Zambia in 2007.

Our Suppliers

We represent our suppliers in the African market, and are sole agents for the leading multinational companies from Europe. Our product range expands over 3000 different products.

With operations in Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia, we cover the whole of the East and Central African market.

Since establishment, we have diversified our product range in order to try and cover various industries. For the past 85 years, we pride ourselves in providing our clients with efficient and reliable service, thus enabling us to further understand our clients’ needs.

Our clients include Auto Spares and Hardware dealers, Body shops, Garages, Supermarkets, industries, transporters and fleet owners as well as Petrol Service Stations all over East Africa. We also supply NGOs and Government Departments.

Our products are available at leading supermarket chains in Kenya such as: Naivas and Carrefour either directly or through our distributors
