Role Summary

Our client - a microfinance bank - is looking to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager who will support the Finance Manager in overseeing the financial health of the organization through accurate financial reporting, liquidity management, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day financial operations and ensure sound financial practices
  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Assist in preparing financial statements for management, board, and regulators
  • Track financial performance and identify improvement and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Monitor and interpret cash flows and forecast future financial trends
  • Support compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
  • Assist with external audits and provide required documentation
  • Support funding initiatives and manage relationships with external stakeholders
  • Act as a stand-in for the Finance Manager when required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a busy finance department
  • Membership with a recognized professional accounting body (e.g. ICPAK)
  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments is an added advantage
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail
