DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first-line IT support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in healthcare-related software systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other ICT equipment.
- Ensure timely resolution of user queries and incidents.
System Maintenance & Administration
- Monitor system performance and carry out routine maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support user account management, email setup, and system access rights.
- Maintain ICT inventory including equipment, licenses, and accessories.
Network Support
- Assist in maintaining reliable local area networks (LAN), internet connections, and wireless connectivity.
- Support implementation of data backup systems and basic cybersecurity measures.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT incidents, system configurations, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare periodic reports on ICT operations, support requests, and system performance.
Training & Capacity Building
- Provide basic ICT training to staff on system usage, security best practices, and new technologies.
- Offer user guidance for healthcare software tools.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Business Information Technology (BBIT) or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting software used in health or organizational environments
- Basic understanding of healthcare systems or experience in healthcare administration is an added advantage
