JOB DETAILS:
JIPS - the Joint IDP Profiling Service - is an inter-agency service, which was set up in 2009 Based in Geneva, JIPS is supervised by an Executive Committee (Excom) composed of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC). the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (NRC IDMC), the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), the Office of the Special Rapporteur on the human rights of IDPs, the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
JIPS is globally recognized as a neutral broker and a hub for sound and tested tools frameworks and processes that can effectively facilitate collaborative data and analysis processes and capacity building in internal displacement contexts, with a particular focus on building national capacity, protracted displacement durable solutions and urban displacement with this work, JIPS is working towards achieving is overall vision goal where people and their communities are able to progress towards and reach durable solutions to displacement supported by collaborative efforts of governments, humanitarian and development actors that are based on high quality evidence. The Regional Coordinator will be part of the Field Support and Capacity Building Unit of JIPS. He/She will work under the supervision of the Head of Unit, in close collaboration with JIPS Coordinator and under the overall guidance of JIPS Executive Committee. .

Requirements
• Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Humanitarian Development studies. Information Management, Statistics or a related field; 5-7 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience of which at least 3 need to be in humanitarian or development field operations:
• Experience working on forced migration and specifically internal displacement issues in humanitarian and or development contexts:
• Excellent and proven project management skills, including creating work plans budgeting, delegation of responsibilities and supervising small teams.
• Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information in a simple and accessible manner.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking, coordination, and partnership development and management Solid experience with statistical and social research methods and/or information and knowledge management Solid experience in capacity building and training of a wide range of actors, including adult learning and training of trainers, knowledge of e-learning and virtual learning is desirable:
• Excellent English verbal and written skills, and proficiency in French or Arabic.
