Officer II/Frequency Monitoring & Compliance

Brief Description        

Detailed Description 

This is the entry and training grade for Degree holders in this cadre. Duties and responsibilities in this position shall entail assisting in: -

  • Carrying  out on-site inspection of telecommunication and radio communication facilities,
  • Carrying  out on-site measurements of technical parameters of radio communication facilities in aid of licensing or law enforcement,
  • Collating , analyzing , and preparation of reports regarding the activities carried out,
  • Performing  determination of the location of radio emissions (Direction Finding),
  • Conducting  measurements of emissions of transmitter technical parameters of radio communication facilities in aid of licensing or law enforcement,
  • Resolution of harmful radio spectrum interference,
  • Collating , analyzing, and preparation of  reports regarding the frequency monitoring   activities,
  • Monitoring supplier obligations concerning the maintenance of regulatory facilities,
  • Carrying  out preventative maintenance on radio monitoring, telecom monitoring measuring equipment and test gears,
  • Carrying  out limited corrective maintenance on radio monitoring, telecom monitoring measuring equipment, and test gears,
  • Collating, analyzing, and preparing of reports regarding the status of monitoring and measurement facilities.

Job Requirements        

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, or any other related field from a recognized institution,
  • Experience with data engineering and/or analysis will be an added advantage,
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
