JOB DETAILS:
The Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is a State Corporation established under the Energy Act 2019 and is responsible for Economic and Technical Regulation of Electric Power, Renewable Energy, Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Petroleum sub-sectors. The Authority is seeking to recruit suitable Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions:
Principal Resource Mobilization Officer – GRADE 4 (1 POSITION ON PERMANENT AND PENSIONABLE TERMS) - RE-ADVERTISED
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Strategy and Performance, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of policies and strategies that will enhance revenue streams. .

Key Responsibilities
i) Initiating development of policies, strategies procedures, guidelines for resource mobilization and partnership development;
ii) Developing and reviewing proposals for resource mobilization;
iii) Reviewing external proposals for resource and technical assistance;
iv) Ensuring implementation and reviewing of resource mobilization, strategies and programmes;
v) Overseeing the development of strategies and work planning for resource mobilization and partnership creation;
vi) Initiating partnership dialogue with bilateral partners and international financial institutions;
vii) Overseeing coordination, planning, development, and management of public and private sector collaborations for resource mobilization;
viii) Developing systems and procedures to monitor collection of the organization’s resources; and ix) Advising management on potential opportunities for resource mobilization and partnership developments;

Qualifications & Skills Required
i) At least eight (8) years’ work experience, three (3) of which must be in a supervisory position.
ii) A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields; Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development, Development Studies, International Relations, Public Administration and Business Administration or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
iii) A Master’s Degree in any of the following fields; Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development, Development Studies, International Relations, Public Administration and Business Administration or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
iv) A Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
v) Be a member of a relevant professional body where applicable;
vi) Proficiency in computer applications;
vii) Demonstrated results in work performance;
viii) Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of Constitution; and
ix) Personal attributes such as; good communication skills, demonstrated ability to mobilize resources, proposal development skills, planning and analytical skills communication and reporting skills and interpersonal skills.

vi) Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
vii) Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
viii) Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
ix) Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
