JOB DETAILS:
Our Client is a salary advance provider is currently looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in selling SME & Corporate Loan Products with existing networks in SME & Corporate Circles to engage. As well as signing up and maintaining contact with new clients and also optimizing the relationships with current clients to increase the lending revenue. .

Duties & Responsibilities:
a. Aid in credit appraisal of new and existing customers.
b. Implementing the Business Development Strategy and plans for the assigned portfolio.
c. Signing up of new clients and optimizing relationships with existing customers.
d. Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks in order to locate prospects for advances.
e. Paying visits to potential and existing clients for the purpose of granting advances.
f. Conduct business intelligence from time to time to see what the competition is up to and how we can get an edge over them.
g. Preparing financial reports by ensuring all advances are being serviced as they should.
h. Collect advances and maintain good quality in terms of advance accounts in arrears.
i. Conduct client education on the new products features and requirements.
j. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management that are appropriate to the position.

Requirements/Qualifications:
a. Degree/Diploma in Sales and Marketing or business related filed
b. 5+ years of experience in similar role similar position in a lending institution such as Sacco, microfinance or bank.
c. Has previous experience at selling SME and corporate loan products in a Non Deposit taking lending institution.
d. Should have existing and proven strong networks in SME and corporate circles that you can leverage to bring new business to the company.
e. Must have a clear understanding of aspects of credit administration, loan book (portfolio management), customer acquisition, and crisis management and risk management.
f. Must have a clear understanding of the lending cycle.
g. Good Presentation and Communications skills.
h. Flexible and willing to work in a startup environment.
