JOB DETAILS:
Our client, a leading provider of medical services in East Africa is seeking to recruit a Director of Nursing and Quality. The successful candidate will assess, evaluate and set up very high nursing care standards and objectives for the organization. He/she will also oversee quality assurance of the various units as per the laid down accreditation and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate Must have experience in a similar role with a prestigious health care organisation. .

Key Responsibilities:
• Develops, maintain, and implement nursing policies that conform to updated standards of nursing practice.
• Collaborate with medical superintend, HODs and other external institutions for the improvement of health care service.
• Develops and coordinate quality assurance programs for nursing services and monitor compliance with the standards and ensure that the quality of nursing meets patient needs.
• Develops and implement a medical emergency program for the nursing department.
• Submit a quarterly quality assurance report.
• Oversee the quality inspections and implementation of quality programs.
• Discovering and supporting growth opportunities for the hospital.

Qualifications:
• Sc. Nursing, MBA.
• 10+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years as Administrative Head / Chief Nurse.
• Extensive Clinical and Nursing Leadership experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations.
• Understanding best practices in nursing and healthcare administration procedures.
• Statistical Analysis.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
