JOB DETAILS:
A leading National Agency is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and highly motivated Kenyan citizen
Grade 3
1 Position on Contract Terms
Reporting to the Head of Directorate, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of policies, banding, development, and implementation of the organization’s communication and branding strategy, policies and plans.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop communication policies, strategies and programs to deliver objectives throughout the organization;
• Ensure optimization of electronic media channels including management of the corporate web resources and ensure that all information disseminated through web resources is accurate, complete and updated;
• Overseeing the drafting and editing of the following; speeches, press releases, messages, and advertisements for the print, broadcast media and the organization of media briefings
• Oversee delivery of strategic communication campaigns that demonstrate the organization’s operations in the digital media;
• Ensure development of performance programmes, work plans, and budgets for the department; and
• Undertaking other duties related to the corporate communications function within the institution

Job Qualifications:
At least ten (10) years relevant work experience five (5) of which should have been in management position:
(ii) A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
(iii) A Masters Degree in Communication, journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution:
(v) Professional qualification, membership and be in good standing;
(vi) Management course lasting not less four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
(vii) Proficiency in Computer skills;
(viii) Demonstrated results in work performance; and
(ix) Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
(x) Personal attributes such as strategic thinking, analytical skills, excellent communication and reporting skills, good managerial skills and ability to lead teams, mentoring, coaching and leadership skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a team player
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants MUST provide the following documents on the application;
i) A Signed application letter
ii) A detailed CV indicating their current and previous employers, positions held, current and expected salary, level of education and names of at least three professional referees
iii) Copies of academic and professional certificates
iv) Copy of National Identification Card or Passport
v) Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
vi) Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
vii) Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
viii) Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
ix) Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
