JOB DETAILS:
Lead a national sales team to consistently achieve net sales, distribution, 5P, cost of sales, customer service targets. Lead key customer engagements. A leading food and hot beverage manufacturer and marketer of premium, well known brands with significant market share in the Kenyan market seeks to recruit a National Sales Manager. .

Job Responsibilities:
• Consistently achieve Net sales, volume, Gross to net, selling costs, trade coverage and distribution targets. Develop, execute and achieve 5P strategies and targets. Develop the Annual Business (channel, retail environment activity grids) plan predicated on the Budget goals. Identify, develop and oversee the effective implementation of the ‘Go to Market’ strategy.
• Capture, manage and exploit accurate sales, trade universe, market, own trading and other relevant data and market intelligence. Leverage to support planning and remedial business decisions.
• New business development – generate and implement innovative ideas on new market entry both locally and regionally. Identify and execute against opportunities to sell or promote consumption.
• Lead or support distributor agreement or engagement, joint business planning negotiations, quarterly and annual trade performance reviews, pay for performance backed plans. Where agreed, recruit and manage agents and distributors resources to deliver targets.
• Lead or support the rolling demand plan for each SKU to deliver target production Vs sales accuracy
• Manage sales team to achieve all targets consistently. Instruct, train, coach, accompany, appraise, provide feedback, listen. Encourage, take remedial actions and promote teamwork. Support recruitment, career development, end of employment processes..

  Job Qualifications:
• An undergraduate degree with at least ten years of increasing responsibility selling to all channels, sales operations, sales analytics, customer or shopper marketing, key and distributor account management. National sales team management
• Must demonstrate excellence in 5P execution
• Outstanding strategic, analytical, numerate, creative skills and presentation talents.
• Very good financial analysis skills, ability to effectively manage a profit and loss statement, ROI driven, awareness of supply chain and sales activity impacts on the cash flow statement.
• Ability and evidence of managing people with respect to promote a caring attitude, teamwork and continuous improvements. Evidence of continuous learning and execution of new practices needed.
• Must be able to represent the company at all levels of interaction in the country responsibly.
