The World Bank, the leading multi-lateral institution in global economic development, is seeking to hire the following seasoned and highly energized professionals to work within the Bank's Health and Safety Directorate (HSD) to be based in Nairobi, Kenya. HSD seeks to protect and promote the health and safety of the World Bank Group (WBG) staff and their immediate families, taking account of their individual health, working environment and job demands. Occupational Health and Safety Analyst (req4865) .
Job Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (1) the Occupational Health and Safety Analyst will aid in the delivery of the WBG Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System. This will include fundamental OH&S hazard identification, risk assessment and management principles, onsite evaluation, workplace investigation, data analysis, training and recommendations on program improvement.: - The responsibilities include:
• Coordinate OH&S support to staff;
• Undertake OH&S environmental evaluations including workplace assessments on hazard identification and risk prevention mitigation measures in accordance with H&S hierarchy of control;
• Assist in the design and implementation of OH&S training platforms and programs including stratification of training to staff, managers and OH&S focal points in the processes of OH&S risk assessment and management processes;
• Assist in the design to establish behavior-based safety systems for risk and injury reduction;
• Assist in the design and contribute to an overarching OH&S data management system inclusive of incident accident reporting, incident accident investigation and actions and workflow processes for notification and tracking among other tasks and any other tasks as required.

Job Qualifications:
• The successful candidate will be a holder of at least a University level degree or equivalent in the disciplines of occupational / environmental / Health and safety. Familiarity and training in industrial hygiene and workplace experience with monitoring and detection programs and equipment from an accredited school, university, institute or college, and 5 plus years of relevant work experience including global OH&Simplementation experience with a valid professional health and safety affiliation, membership or registration and or a license to practice
