PSI seeks to recruit a dynamic, self-driven and results oriented individual to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the procurement activities of the organization and ensuring cost efficiency and timeliness in purchasing PSI’s materials, products and services. .

Your contribution
• Assist in the development of the Global Hub’s Procurement policies and procedures in compliance with PSI Global procurement standards;
• Monitor the policies and procedures to ensure that they are kept updated and relevant to the international situation of the Global Hub requirements;
• Responsible for creation of list of Authorized Vendors, using PSI’s selection and pre-qualification processes. Update list on a regular basis and circulate to relevant staff;
• Responsible for Due Diligence checks (supplier references, site visits, historical data, anti-terrorism compliance) for Authorized Vendors and Contractors; Provide consistent and constructive support to other departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; Monitor procurement records to ensure that each procurement request is fully and clearly documented according to PSI policy; Conduct regular market surveys in key procurement categories to ensure that PSI is receiving best value for money; Prepare Requests for Proposal and manage contract/tender processes.
• Build and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve common goals; Ensure satisfactory audit ratings related to Procurement. If required corrective actions plans are developed & implemented to address any audit findings;
• Continuously monitor requisitions to ensure that proper procedures followed and policies enforced;
• Provide consistent and constructive support to other departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures;

What are we looking for? The basics
• Bachelor degree in logistics or Business management or related field. Master degree will an added advantage.
• Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) Diploma or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least eight (6) years’ experience in procurement, with three (3) years at managerial level
• Working knowledge of ERP systems
• Working knowledge of donor procurement procedures
