The Information Technology department supports the organization’s work by providing reliable and scalable application development and infrastructure for the IRC’s offices in the US and around the world, including many technologically challenging locations. The IT Manager will report to the DDO and will be primarily responsible for managing the installation and configuration of IT infrastructure/systems, staff training and operations of IT activities in IRC Kenya CP. The IT Manager will assist to recruit and lead the IT Officer and will work closely with the DDO, Regional IT Director and all program sectors to ensure proper ICT functioning and support together with responding to new operational requirements.

Major Responsibilities:
Technology, Policy, and Projects:

• Champion business relationship management within country departments and drive the IT strategy for adoption.
• Advise country program(s) of the technology available to help accomplish their tasks and goals and help them develop a technology implementation plan inclusive of system design and staff training.
• Lead on country program information technology data driven platforms to ensure best available services, infrastructure, and accountability actions from our stakeholders.
• Support our ERP solution on Dynamic 365 and provide level 1 and Level 2 support where required
• Ensure implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the users.
• Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff, while training coaching and mentoring the new IT officer on relevant topics to help onboarding.
• Manage and supervise IT Projects in the country program(s) to ensure the success and functionality of the solutions.
• IT consultation for the departments and programs when they work on new technology related project.
• Provide technical support and guidance for on-going IT projects in the country program.
• Support other departments in digitization of the available processes ICT4D to increase efficiency and enable program quality.
• Facilitate office openings and relocation within IRC IT SOP guidelines.

Job Purpose:
• Reports to the Senior Asset Services Officer-Heavy Maintenance & ensures efficient operation of a safe and secure technical records and archival system for timely distribution / provision of data for maintenance planning, reliability tracking and safe operation of Kenya airways and third party aircraft that meets KQ and regulatory requirements.

Principle Accountabilities;
• Operate a secure and safe technical l records archiving and retrieval system where all completed maintenance records are stored as per the KCAA requirements
• Ensure the Designed and developed filing systems, business classification schemes as per KCAA and Kenya airways requirements.
• Ensure that the archives management policies and framework in the management of records system are followed as per KCAA and Kenya airways requirements.
• Plan and assign resources to meet the requirements of a sound and acceptable technical records system
• Liaison with relevant Kenya airways departments/KCAA; manufactures, lessors on technical records matters; and irregularities to the appropriate department.

• Fahari Aviation is seeking an entry level Software Developer with skills in web development and a strong passion for the drone industry, AI, machine learning, and big data. The individual will use their programming and problem-solving skills to assist in the development or enhancement of applications in-house.

Principle Accountabilities;
• Design code and manage website using modern tools
• Assist with development of mobile and web based applications
• Coordinate with Developers and other marketers to match visual design intent.
• Carry out Help Desk Support in day to day activities
• Liaise between with internal (Kenya Airways IT Department) and external stakeholders to ensure all deliverables are achieved within the set budget and timelines.
• Contribute to collaborative efforts and assist with additional IT projects as needed
• Effectively manage daily administrative tasks.

Knowledge, Skills and experience;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience
• Proficiency writing code, either in production environments or smaller projects
• A basic understanding of object-oriented programming and/or web technologies
• Proficiency in JavaScript, with a knack for getting the visuals right
• Proficiency writing semantic HTML
• Basic knowledge with algorithms, computational geometry and geospatial systems
