About You
• This is a global position that sits within Diageo’s Sustainable Procurement structure and reports into the Regenerative Agriculture Lead.
• The Global Sustainable Procurement team is an enabler of sustainability for the procurement function, which is a mixture of above-market resources focused on developing world class category strategies and in-market procurement resources focused on excellence in execution of category strategies and supplier performance management.
• The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of Diageo’s global regenerative agriculture strategy, in line with our 2030 Spirit of Progress ambition with a focus on key sourcing regions across Europe, US, India, Brazil, Mexico and East Africa.

Key Roles and Responsibilities.
• Overall oversight of all intervention activities at the county level in relation to agro-entrepreneur development, farmers engagement and empowerment, crop production, aggregation, and marketing.
• Drive day to day sorghum production activities including management of crop calendar, input procurement, planting, and crop management, harvesting and post - harvest handling
• Responsible for mobilizing agro-entrepreneurs to offer farmer services including input access, advisory, mechanization, aggregation, finance, and markets
• Establish high quality demonstration sites(plots) to be used in delivery of practical farmer trainings by the agro-entrepreneurs.
• Initiate collaboration and local partnerships with the County and Sub - County Agricultural officers, input suppliers and other relevant service providers and identify leverage opportunities capable of adding value to the project
• Monitor and provide timely periodic data to inform collation of reports from the accomplished field activities

Digitisation & Farmer Visibility Manager

The Role
Reporting to Heifer Kenya Country Director, the position holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various digital projects as well as lead integration of technology and innovations initiatives across Heifer Kenya programmatic interventions. As an established project management professional, you will have the skills to influence at every level of the organization including collaborating with internal and external teams to design, develop and implement digital projects. Additionally, the position holder will work closely with the communications and program teams as the driving force behind heifer Kenya’s alternative and transformative business delivery and extension support models targeting various agricultural value chains.

Key Tasks
The Agri-investments Analyst will be assigned to undertake economic or financial analysis on trends and changes within the portfolio of agribusinesses for IFDC in several project countries where his/her principal duties shall include but not limited to:
• analyse Agri-financial information to forecast agribusiness and/or Agri value chains, or economic conditions.
• analyse farming investment opportunities through the development of in-depth analysis and cash flow models for a wide variety of agricultural commodities within selected project and IFDC countries
• assist in the preparation of investment recommendations for our strategic financial partners and third-party investors
• interpret agribusinesses data on price, yield, stability, future investment risk trends, economic influences, and other factors.
• monitor economic situations and model changes within specified agribusiness.
• use various econometric modelling software and techniques to produce reports
• apply models of economic behaviour to areas such as crop or livestock value chain cost structures.
• provide financial analysis in relation to credit, loans, or investments in a variety of agribusiness sectors.
• enlist some ideas to improve the supply of (adequate) Agri-financial services, through networking with likeminded programs, international/regional financial services providers and/or impact investors.
• Organise learning and contribute to documentation of best practices, lessons-learned on aspects of financial inclusion within the project.
