About The Role
Key responsibilities for the role include:
• Operate the school motor vehicle in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Ensure that “door to door” policy for dropping and picking of pupils is maintained.
• Follow planned route on a time schedule
• Work together with the bus assistant in maintaining order in the bus.
• Report and document any vehicle defect on daily basis.
• Observe speed limits and all other road signs
• Fuel allocated vehicle as per fueling schedule.
• Drive pupils to educational trips, sports activities and any other school activity in a safe manner.
• Document actual mileage, timings and destination in the vehicle movement book before commencement of any trip.
• Undertake daily routine checks for tyres, oil, radiator coolant and lights.
• Ensure the allocated school motor vehicle is kept clean on daily basis.
• Notify Transport Manager of any accident/incident immediately.
• Notify Transport Manager of any delay, route diversion and riots.
• Follow Emergency policy when involved in emergencies or accident.
• Ensure the school motor vehicle is safely and securely parked on campus and when on trips.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods and to concentrate on work, including typing, and turn out heavy volumes of work accurately, within short time frames under stressful situations in the context of a moderately noisy office with many interruptions. Must be able to proofread own work accurately so that only minor corrections are needed on an infrequent basis.

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment
• The duties of the job require regular job attendance at least five days per week. Must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required.
• Must be able to travel as required for standard domestic and international business travel as well as to the country offices if appropriate. Based on the country office needs, the time spent on field trips will be a minimum of a quarter of his/her working time. While visiting the field, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high-security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well as to infectious diseases.

Job Purpose
To provide logistical support to program and administrative teams ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that vehicles are used for pre-approved purposes;
• Overseeing the fuelling of vehicles and ensure that fuel cards are replenished on a timely basis;
• Report promptly any matter related to maintenance of vehicles including regular services and insurances renewal;
• Ensure cleanliness of the vehicles is maintained all through;
• Strict adhere to Traffics rules and regulations of the roads

Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• Is a holder of K.C.S.E with minimum C- grade.
• Holder of clean, BCE Class, valid driving license
• Minimum 5 years driving experience accident free and knowledgeable of most regions in Kenya.
• Certificate of good conduct from Kenya National Police Service
• Knowledge in vehicle mechanics
• Computer literate

Job Purpose

The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the procurement function to ensure that all procurement is undertaken as per laid down laws, rules and regulations while enforcing transparency and accountability in the procurement process to ensure value for money. S/he will work in close collaboration with site teams and KCCB ACTS staff.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership to drive the implementation of procurement and supplies policies and plans aimed at cost effective acquisition of high quality, materials, goods and services.
• Prepare strategic procurement plans and budget outlining key activities to be undertaken, the projected cost, funding sources as well as expected outcomes.
• Develop and implement flexible and responsive procurement and stores management system for monitoring and tracking costs as well as maintaining up-to-
• date inventory of goods and services.
• Develop detailed tender specifications and performance standards to facilitate procurement of capital equipment, goods and services in strict compliance with the
• organizations approved policy as well as donor requirements.
• Provide oversight to sourcing in support of project activities and conduct training on procurement, sourcing, contracting responsibilities, ethics and general guidelines.
