Ability to read electrical shop-drawings and distinguish symbols.
• Capable to deal with numerous types of conduits, such as rigid type, metal type and PVC for sure.
• Capable to deal all type of tools, machines and manual types, specially with hand tools.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in industrial project fields, heavy duty installation is preferable.
• Extreme knowledge in electrical panel installation, termination, testing and commissioning.
• Extreme knowledge in cable and wire sizes, lighting and receptacles distribution.
• Extreme knowledge in electrical wiring accessories and ability to aggregate electrical items as required.
• Good communication skills to ensure that they can understand spoken and written information, such as instructions or blueprints in English.
• Must be physically fit to complete their work successfully. They may have to stand for extended periods, bend over and crouch to get to the electrical systems, go up and down ladders or stairs, and lift heavy materials
• Punctuality and discipline should be key attributes to the candidates to show they are able to meet important set deadlines.
• Passionate of their work meaning always presenting neat work at all times.
• Having a strong Problem-solving skill will show that the candidate will quickly find solutions to electrical challenges on site.

About the role:
Research Technician I will assist in managing the field activities in the CIP breeding and pre-breeding plots at UON Kabete and Nyandarua as well as managing and coordinating activities at the KEPHIS.

Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in the identification, monitoring, and evaluation of potato breeding sites
• Supervising field casuals during potato planting, weeding, spraying, and harvesting
• Managing tuber seed multiplication in greenhouse
• Managing the Diffuse Light Store on daily basis
• Assist in data collection in the potato breeding fields in different locations
• Any other task assigned by the supervisor

Job Summary

• Our client, a manufacturing Company in Kiambu is looking to fill the position of an injection Molding operator Position.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace all components of Molds for both injection machines, and Blow machines
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain machinery, as well as inspect finished products to ensure quality work
• Set up and start up injection molding machines
• Document mold changes and machine adjustments
• Troubleshoot equipment or tooling issues during production
• Inspect items to ensure a consistent level of quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Ensure Quality of Finished Goods as per Expected Quality Norms by coordination with Quality staffs
• Ensure that all section activities are going as per agreed system and good coordination with other departments
• Preventive maintenance/breakdown maintenance/Mold maintenance
• Mold change over as par the Production Plan
• Pass ideas and suggestions to line manager and need Pro activeness in the cost saving Projects in the Plastic section.
• Responsible for on job training to new operators
• Responsible for efficient usage of materials and controls on Recycle of Plastic Materials.
• Responsible for section safety and hygiene.

Qualifications:
• Diploma in Plastics/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical with 3-5 years of experience as a Mold Technician in a busy Plastics company is AMUST
• Must have knowledge of injection and blow machines
