Your Role
As Global Director, HSE, you will build and manage KOKO’s safety & environmental strategy, systems, and policies across all operating countries to ensure regulatory requirements are met. You will also partner with country business units to share expertise and ensure adherence to the highest standards of team and category safety.

What You Will Do
• Build KOKO’s HSE strategy and culture: develop and embed a culture of prioritizing team, category, and environmental health and safety into all KOKO operations, as well as ensure a safety lens is taken in the launch of new geographies and new categories
• Design and refine HSE plans: create, refine, and audit company-wide HSE policies and practices, while promoting high awareness and strong buy-in across the organization
• Ensure regulatory compliance: develop scorecards, tracking systems, and monitoring plans to ensure operations comply with local and international standards and regulations
• Manage local HSE teams: hire, manage, and mentor HSE department heads in country business units and interface with country MDs and other key stakeholders to ensure safety remains a core value in all business units

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Leading and managing the Restore Africa PCU, ensuring staff are motivated to perform optimally, while liaising with the GEA Secretariat for technical and program management guidance and support.
• Providing effective management, good stewardship of the PCU budget, and effective oversight of Program budgets, ensuring accurate monthly financial reporting and timely audits.
• Leading stakeholder engagement for the Restore Africa Program, building and maintaining robust networks and excellent relationships with governments, member organisations, national Lead Implementing Organisations (LIOs), NGOs, multilateral bodies, and research institutes, among others.
• Maintaining effective oversight of each of the national LIOs, monitoring their performance, and providing and facilitating between LIOs capacity development and mutual support to maximise the achievement of the Program’s overall objectives.
• Enhancing the Alliance’s value addition in the region by leveraging the strengths of the Alliance’s network, members and non-member partners.
• Ensuring LIOs and other implementing partners are effectively resourced through timely planning and budgeting, funding disbursement and reporting while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and good international practices across the Program.
• Leading the development of processes, procedures, and systems required for the effective and consistent management of the Restore Africa Program, including risk management strategies.
• Creating a robust system for evidence-building and promoting Program progress and impacts while ensuring monitoring, evaluation and reporting functions are performed on time and to a high-quality standard across the Restore Africa program.
• Acting as the Secretary to the Restore Africa Program Steering Committee (PSC) and ensuring LIOs are effectively supported by the Technical Advisory Group.

Key responsibilities:
• Perform secretarial and administrative duties, for the smooth running of the Functions in the Department.
• Organize, manage and coordinate appointments and meetings for the Head of Supply Chain as well as other Managers in the Department
• Compile information and prepare reports for decision-making.
• Attend departmental meetings and take Minutes for retention of discussions.
• Keep custody of records e.g. LPOs, letters etc for easy retrieval.
• Coordinate document movement in the department e.g. LPOs, Requistions, for traceability and timeliness.
• Coordinate Workshops for the Department e.g Formulary Committee
• Attend to queries

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support in the development, design, and delivery of business skills, Natural Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, climate change and other modules relevant to the project in coordination and collaboration with the project team.
• Consistently build the capacity of the project team and partners using a Trainer of Trainers approach to effectively deliver and implement the graduation model.
• Maintain schedule and track delivery of training for the project team, partners, and program participants.
• Facilitate and co-facilitate training sessions for project team, partners, and program participants.
• Organize and coordinate logistics for training activities in collaboration with the cluster admin.
