We currently have an opportunity for a CRA to join our Clinical Monitoring department in Kenya as a CRA. This opportunity can be home-based from Nairobi or Kisumu.
Our global Clinical Monitoring department consists of colleagues with institutional knowledge, in-depth therapeutic experience. Together, we help clients define and develop clinical programmes, minimise delays and execute high-quality, cost-efficient clinical studies.
• You would be working in multi-national projects working closely with our sponsors and be focused on delivering exemplary levels of customer service on multiple, challenging projects.
• Performing and coordinating all aspects of the clinical monitoring process independently, monitoring visits and your will be managing your own studies.
• You will be given training programmes that will assist your technical and professional skills and knowledge. This would happen in case you have not worked in certain therapeutic areas before and you would like to expand your knowledge then there is certainly this option as well.

Key responsibilities:
General cleanliness
• Maintain general cleanliness of laboratory, laboratory apparatus and equipment for safe and reliable results
• Managing laundry of laboratory coats and attire

Sample handling
• Maintain and update Laboratory registers for samples and reference standards
• Maintain inventory of laboratory reagents/chemicals and apparatus for accountability
• Receive samples from clients, and assess availability of all the requirements of analysis before logging into the register
• Arrange the received sample store and sample store to ensure accessibility and traceability of samples.
• Prepare samples for disposal and required documentation

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• You are responsible for clinical case management and cost containment in relation to international hospitalizations and claims, and you assist in drafting Guarantees of Payment.
• You screen hospital bills before they are approved for reimbursement & direct billing
• You coordinate and manage all aspects of treatment including medical appropriateness, length of stay in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• You are in contact with the treating doctors or facilities to obtain necessary medical information and to negotiate tariffs.
• You identify and refer appropriate customers to eligible clinical programs.
• You maintain timely and efficient documentation.
• You liaise with patient or family members about treatment changes or patient care
• You consult the client organizations and account managers whenever necessary
• You take into consideration the necessary procedures and agreements
• Other duties as assigned
