Job Purpose
• The role provides support in a variety of areas, which include systems of learning, acquisition, and development of talent aligned with the company’s human capital strategy through sourcing, engaging, development, implementation and evaluation.
• The Talent Associate is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support of company-wide recruiting efforts. The Associate assists with the screening and interview process, and provides other support, as needed.
• The Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring we attract, hire and retain the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.
• The Associate provides professional and effective administrative support to the learning and development team. As an L&D assistant, they will be expected to carry out a wide range of duties to support the organization’s HR and L&D function

Key responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection
• Responsible for attracting, evaluating, and hiring from a diverse pool of recent graduates and experienced talent.
• Analyses and reports on recruiting metrics.
• Implement creative recruiting strategies to reach prospective applicants.
• Implement the onboarding processes for all new hires.
• Liaising and maintaining relationships with stakeholders (HRBPS & Line Managers) to come up with recruitment & onboarding schedules.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience for all applicants by responding to inquiries from prospective applicants timely and professionally.
• Receive and record job vacancy information from HRBPs.
• Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
• Utilize and understand recruitment technology systems (i.e. Taleo)
• Support in the implementation and management of HR systems.
• In liaison with the HRBPs provide recruiting support in interviewing, selection processes, offer management, process documentation, compliance management, and status communication with candidates and hiring managers.

As our new HR advisor, you will work closely with the HR manager in the Netherlands. Your primary focus is on professionalizing the HR policy for our offices in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, and Uganda. In addition, you will advise Country Offices on implementing our HR policy, integrity policies, plus other HR functions including and not limited to staff recruitment, onboarding, training, development & motivation, performance management /appraisals & compensation, Scaling and succession planning, HR data and analytics, among others.

In Essence, You
• Design, develop and implement international HR policy, with country specific manuals, in collaboration with the country directors.
• Analyze as well as advise, based on an international benchmark, regarding the employment conditions of colleagues at our country offices.
• Advise country directors on recruitment, integrity, and all related HR topics.
• Coordinate the recruitment and hiring process for Edukans Country Offices and, where needed improve our recruitment policy.
• Support and assist the ongoing digitalization of our HR policy and processes, both in the Netherlands and internationally.
• Participate in various projects and advise wherever you see undiscovered opportunities

• Are an experienced and professional HR advisor with understanding of the four (4) country offices contexts (at least 5 years’ experience as a senior HR advisor)
• Can develop and implement international HR policies and are up to date on (international) HR trends and developments. (Demonstrate previous experience in HR policies)
• Are eager to help create educational opportunities for children and young people so they can confidently build their future.
• Are focused on solutions and are culturally sensitive.
• Can plan and organize your work well.
• Can easily switch between strategy and operational tasks.
• Have good English communication skills.
• Have an HR degree, an advanced degree (Masters) will be an added advantage
