Reporting directly to the Head of Human Resource & Administration, the Chief Security Officer will provide security leadership and direction to the Company through effective organization, administration and operation of the security function.
Specific responsibilities will include:-
• Developing and implementing security policy, strategy and guidelines in consistency with best global practices.
• Identifying all security risk areas and developing appropriate operational methods to mitigate the security risks.
• Carrying out security audits and surveys, reviewing security processes, procedures, contingency plans and controls in compliance with the set security standards.
• Managing the incident reporting process to track trends and develop effective responses.
• Assisting in the selection and management of third party security providers through clear and measurable Service Level Agreements.
• Ensuring proper administration of the section’s personnel and outsourced services with the aim of managing costs within the approved budget.
• Providing guidance in high level investigations for all reported cases against Company employees and property.
• Liaising with relevant government departments, police, local administrators and neighborhood security institutions in handling security issues within the Company.
• Developing, implementing and supervising security emergency action plans.
• Providing one stop solutions on security matters that the Company faces from time to time.
Person specifications
Applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:
• Holder of a Business Degree /Degree in Security Management or equivalent professional training and Certification.
• Demonstrate experience in successful security response process.
• Thorough knowledge in criminal investigations and prosecution procedures.
• At least 10 years relevant working experience in the disciplined forces and 6 years in a senior decision making position preferably in the ranks of a Major or Senior Superintendent of police or above.
• Demonstrate working experience with electronic alarms, access control systems, CCTV and other technology based security systems
• Demonstrate capability of commanding a contracted or in house guard force
• Previous clean record in the disciplined services
• Must be medically and physically fit with no criminal record and with a valid Certificate of Good Conduct
• Competence in driving (BCE), riding, dog handling, computer knowledge and unarmed combat skills
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Unquestionable character and integrity.
• Good team player, self-motivated, creative, innovative and focused
