Main objectives of the role
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Fundraising (DCF), the individual in this newly created position will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising programme at MSF EA and will be pivotal in inspiring current donors, prospects, and supporters to contribute funds to the organisation. They will have a proven track record of securing private revenue for non-profits and will bring the vision, experience, curiosity, creativity, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm to build a fundraising team and a dedicated base of loyal and committed supporters. They will be an individual who is deeply motivated by the goal of MSF to deliver medical care to those most in need across the world and will be guided by MSF fundraising principles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning: implements and monitors a comprehensive fundraising plan to develop and grow philanthropic support from a variety of sources including individuals, corporations, and family foundations and trusts. Stays aware of developments within the fundraising sector to be alert to new possibilities for revenue generation.
• Fundraising Revenue: Forecasts revenue and collaborates with DCF to project expense and revenue targets for the annual MSF EA budget.
• Donor Engagement Strategies: Cultivates and strengthens existing donor relationships and actively pursues prospects by using multiple cultivation techniques including one-on-one meetings, events, and other fundraising touchpoints. Identifies and develops relationships with corporate entities that adhere to the parameters of the MSF EA corporate gift acceptance policy. Creates a donor pipeline and a donor journey cycle for high capacity supporters. Identifies donors and prospects for cultivation and stewardship by the General Director and other senior level leaders at MSF EA. Collaborates with the DCF in identifying and selecting members of a fundraising advisory group which will serve as a networking vehicle for high level donor giving. Manges the advisory group on a day to day basis.
• Prospecting: Researches, maintains, and develops a regional and local portfolio of individuals, foundations, and corporate prospects who have capacity and inclination for supporting MSF EA.
• Donor Communications: Ensures consistency of messaging in all fundraising communications. Leads in preparing fundraising content and materials to ensure that the information is accurate and reflects MSF’s values and principles and that all communications with donors reflect the unique and independent voice of MSF, with final oversight going to the DCF.
• Systems and Processes: Creates and implements KPIs and best practices for donor cultivation and stewardship. Develops and/or identifies systems for donor tracking and gift processing.
• Team Management: Manages the engagement officer and collaborates with them in organising events that will raise the visibility of and financial support to MSF EA. Takes on futher management responsibilities as the team develops.
• Represents MSF EA: Develops strategic relationships within the regional fundraising and business communities to increase visibility of MSF EA and to foster financial support and networking potential. Participates in MSF international working groups and initiatives and develops working relationships with counterparts in specific MSF entities to advance global fundraising goals. Builds a strong network, and support for fundraising amongst MSF staff in Kenya and East Africa.
• Is a member ofMSF EA´s extended management team and takes a proactive role in the development of the office´s wider functions.
• Ethical approach: Ensures that fundraising is consistent with MSF´s ethical standards and values.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications & competencies required
• Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university
• Extensive experience working in a customer service/relationship management environment
• Analytical skills and experience in creating and tracking budgets
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate in person and in writing to people from various backgrounds and experiences
• Ability to inspire trust and confidence in current donors and supporters
• High level of discretion and an ethical approach to fundraising
• Initiative and independence combined with the ability to work well as part of a team
• A commitment to MSF’s mission and values

Desirable experience
• 5+ year in fundraising with experience in creating and implementing a fundraising program.
• 3+ year experience in cultivating and soliciting high level donors
• Knowledge of the local fundraising environment
• Experience with international relief and development and/or humanitarian organisations desired.

The role holder will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies on FX and Interest rate risk exposures to maximize/protect value. He/she will manage day to day liquidity, investment of surplus funds, and implementation of risk management strategies. They will assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilization of cash.

Key Responsibilities
• Assesses foreign exchange risk and implements hedge strategies.
• develop commercial strategies on FX exposures to maximize/protect value.

• Manages investment of excess funds.
• Oversees interest rate risk management.
• Assists in the development of bank relationships.
• Oversees daily management of cash and debt.
• Establishes fixed income investment positions.
• provide expertise on how best to manage financial market exposures

QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree from a recognized university.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACI, CFA)
• Treasury professional with 5 years’ experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, financial advisory or in a brokerage/investment firm.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Our client Based in industrial area Nairobi Looking to hire in the position of Accounts Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, VAT and financial tasks the holder shall be based in Industrial Area in Nairobi.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Accounts Assistant will provide support to the accountant on duties he\\she may require from time to time e.g. NSSF, NHIF, NITA and KRA.
• Debt collection and credit management is a critical performance matrix for the Accounts assistant. The role requires a persistent attitude with goal-oriented focus in order to be able to meet deadlines within a limited timeline that will keep the company’s cash liquidity ratio.
• Coordinate and follow up with credit/other debt agencies to ensure customers listed as historical debts resolve the payments.
• Constantly and persistently follow up and rein novate ways to secure payments from customers who have a poor credit history.
• Keep track of customer’s payment patterns to avoid accumulating outstanding debts at all times.
• Email the accountant and cc the management your Daily Accounts report capturing.
• Organized, Self-starter with ability to self-manage and ensure deadlines are met - accompanied by verbal feedback and written reports as required – e.g., Ensure Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports highlighting all activities as per job description are done proactively, on time with accuracy to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies and standards.
• Proactive thinker, trouble shooter and solutions provider/Problem solving skills.
• Fast learner able to understand client structures, products and services within the various types of Markets.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
