We are looking for an experienced Assistant Training Manager for property located in Kenya who will support Training Manager and overall Management with delivering of Training & Development within the resorts in region. The below requirements are the must and kindly apply if you fit to the below requirements:

• Experience in position of Assistant Training Manager, Training Officer or Training Executive with hospitality industry in hotels and/or resorts not less than 1 year.
• Overall Training & Development experience of not less than 3 years and expert knowledge of all learning areas.

• Ideal candidate has extensive experience in destination, Training & Development, and hospitality.

The role holder will be supporting Twiga with strategy planning and management and enabling data-driven decision making. S/he will also lead the Market Intelligence team in providing research/data and actionable insights on market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy Planning and Management
• Prepare decks and reports that articulate strategy; translate complex concepts and analyses into clear and simple presentations.
• Develop structures/frameworks to understand business problems and think through ideas and initiatives critically to solve the problems.
• Support the Head of Strategy and Insights in driving strategy planning and management processes for management and respective departments.
• Support the Head of Strategy & Insights in crafting and conveying Twiga’s equity story and strategic narratives to engage investors.

Geographical Expansion
• Support the Head of Strategy & Insights in driving results for expansion projects, developing and executing country-level strategies and setting up market opening for new countries.

Market Research and Analysis

• Lead the Market Intelligence team to collect and analyze data on business opportunities, customers, competitors, products and prices; design quantitative and qualitative market research projects to address business needs and provide actionable insights.

Project Management
• Design and drive results for market research projects, collecting data from the filed and preparing reports.

Team Management
• Lead a team of highly motivated and competent individuals.

Self-Management
• Model Twiga’s culture and way of working and inculcating this within the team.
• Deliver the performance objectives. Participate in monthly 1-on-1 performance reviews with line manager, and institute corrective action where performance falls below expectation.
• Proactively manage own learning and development
• Adhere to the annual leave plan agreed with the line manager
• Adhere to people management polices

Job Responsibilities
Regions Management

• Primary accountability for resources, support, budgets and achievements of financial performance of the regions liaising with all Heads of Departments.
• Develop appropriate frameworks and monitoring processes for all aspects of Regional Executive Officers performance and adherence to all policies
• Provide leadership and create a conducive working environment for employees to excel enhancing St John values
• Develop and build on existing commercial services identifying opportunities for growth, partnerships, innovations and diversification to enhance revenue generation streams and improved service delivery.
• Execute strategies that drive greater integration and efficiencies between the Regions, Volunteers and Staff.
• Establish value adding working relationships and networks with County and National Governments.
• Support Regions Councils by providing quality advice and guidance on areas of policy and strategy, ensuring that members are appraised about issues to enable informed decision making in line with St John vision and high standard of internal governance.
• Ensure smooth running of the day-to-day regional operations, safeguarding assets and complying with all County and National Government regulations and bylaws.

Procurement
• Primary accountability for the organization supply chain strategy and execution, formulation and updating of existing procurement policies, processes and procedures, and monitoring their implementation.
• Lead in the negotiations, preparation and execution of all procurement contracts, agreements, MOUs.
• Develop and manage long-term supplier relationships to deliver cost savings, high service and quality.
• Provide leadership and guidance in management of annual procurement planning with a focus on ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Work with all departments to ensure centralized procurement and develop annual procurement budgets and plans.
• Perform risk analysis in the entire supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Any other duties allocated by supervisor or any person in authority.

Qualifications
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement or any related fields.
• 6+ years’ experience in a similar role where 2 years should be in managerial level.
• Proven experience in Procurement field
• Ability to assess and manage risks ethically.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• People management, leadership, development and decision making skills.
• Exhibit high level of influencing, negotiation and networking skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts.
• Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a NGO will be an added advantage.
