Key responsibilities

• Coordinate data management across all study sites, including design databases for data entry and storage; data review and validation, including discrepancy checking and cleaning.
• Training and supervising data collection teams and activities in the study sites in collaboration with the Lead Research Coordinator and Principal Investigator.
• Programming the data collection tools -in mobile hand-held devices such as tablets.
• Participate in setting up and pre-testing data collection platforms approved by the CATALYST Consortium.
• Establish data management plans and execute the same to realize high-quality data, including doing all required consistency checks for project data. Automate a data cleaning pipeline that can organically identify anomalies for continuous improvement of data quality
• Conduct preliminary data analysis and generate study progress reports and other statistical outputs as required from time to time.
• Represent the research team in project dissemination meetings, training workshops, and technical meetings organized by the Counties and CATALYST consortium members.
• Provide data management support to other LVCT Health research projects where needed, including programming study tools on mobile hand-held devices, training research assistants on the new technologies, and preparing the data for analysis.

Qualifications and Knowledge

• Master level qualification in either Biostatistics / Statistics/ Data Science or Computer science/ Management information systems (MIS)
• Proficient in writing and running queries using applications such as MySQL scripting syntax A good understanding of health information systems in Kenya

Experience
• At least three (3) years of relevant hands-on experience in quantitative data analysis and visualization. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Excel© and at least one statistical analysis software, e.g. Stata / R/ SAS/SPSS.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience managing large datasets and relational databases such as MS Access and SQL and programming using JAVA, Python, XML or SQL on Android or Windows platforms.
• Excellent skills in designing and programming quantitative data collection tools using RedCap.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work with all internal staff levels and flexibility in handling multiple priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including translating technical programming and data management information for a non-technical audience.
• Supervision skills demonstrated by prior experience in supervising a team of data personnel.

Job Summary
This role is responsible for administration and maintenance of organisation wide Data Warehouse ecosystem

Key Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of Data Warehouse and BI Team and supervision of staff in this Unit.
• Plans and reviews systems deployment and performance requirements.
• Administers the data warehousing environment, including installation, configuration, security, testing, data growth, performance and troubleshooting, platform upgrades, support agreements and disaster recovery.
• Develops, tests and deploys extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes.
• Manages scheduling of ETL processes.
• Manages the Data warehouse and Business Intelligence IT Infrastructure.

The Commercial Performance Analyst will be responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing the performance for Emerging Channels, & related data and providing valuable and ground-breaking ways of running the order to cash process for this customer and crafting practical insights to assist in the governance of commercial planning process

Role Responsibilities
• Leads the end-to-end order-to-cash process for which includes Billing, Collections and Cash.

Validation meeting
• There will be a validation meeting to validate the baseline survey findings. The validation meeting will involve 20 key stakeholders such as community leaders, local community based organizations and other stakeholders within Suswa area.
• Complying with evaluation standards
• COVAW expects the consultant to adhere to the following evaluation standards;
• Community voice and representation: It is essential that the evaluation reflects the voices of communities involved in the project. Participants should be consulted as part of the evaluation, and their voices included in the evaluation report as direct quotes and case studies.
• Feedback: Consultant should commit to sharing key findings and recommendations back to the COVAW.
• Transparency and ethical standards: The evaluators should explain clearly to communities engaged in the evaluation what the purpose of the exercise is, and how their information will be used putting into consideration the ‘Do No Harm’ principle.
• Women’s and Girls’ rights: Women’s and girls’ rights must be respected in all evaluations. All evaluations should seek to explore how women and girls have been affected by an intervention and the effect on gender relations.
• Transparency about methodology: The evaluation should include a detailed and transparent discussion of the methodology used and key decisions taken in designing and implementing the evaluation. This should include information about the sampling (approach to sampling, numbers of people/communities covered, representation), what tools were used and why, methodological limitations and gaps.

Key deliverables for the consultant
The consultant will be required to submit the following:
• A workplan outlining key activities and timelines
• An inception report
• Draft data collection tools for review and approval by COVAW
• A draft baseline survey for review and input by COVAW
• A final baseline survey report, together with summary report and annextures such as data collection tools, schedule of field visits and meetings; list of people interviewed; bibliography of key documents consulted; TOR for the evaluation
• COVAW results framework populated with the baseline data against each indicator at outcome and output level.
• A PowerPoint presentation summarizing key findings and recommendations that can be used to disseminate findings.
• The raw data (all transcripts, quantitative data, data collection tools) must be handed over to COVAW together with the evaluation report including photos in high resolution format. The evaluation team must ensure photos are obtained in line with COVAW’s guidelines on consent. All deliverables must be based on evidence collected during the process e.g., photos, case studies, qualitative and quantitative data.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy:

• Co-develop LG´s data roadmap with the program teams, the MEL team, and the digital health team to improve programs' efficacy and efficiency.
• Identify and prioritize key opportunities for deep dive analytics.
• Identify and develop data-related strategic partnerships aligned with the strategy of the organization.
• Collaborate with the tech team to build necessary data architecture to enable robust data science and analytics.

Analytics:
• Collaboration with the Program Teams, the Global Senior MEL Manager, and the Research Manager to prioritize analytics and evidence generation for the organization.
• Drive and conduct high-quality deep dive analytics that strengthens program impact and design as well as innovations and generate additional evidence for program improvement and advocacy.
• Provide technical support to data-related innovations in line with Living Goods Innovation Strategy.
• Leverage a range of statistical and analytical tools to transform the use of data and analytics across Living Goods into a strategic capability and enabler of improved service delivery and cost efficiency.
