JOB DETAILS:
Role Purpose
Account Payables Administration, Customers Credit Controlling, Staff Accounts Administration, Records Management, and Archiving.

Main Accountabilities
Accounts Payables Management

• Be the Lead contact for Genpact team in all matters
• Guidance on vendor set-up to ensure it is done properly at the outset by Global Master data team with special emphasis on bank details, Tax codes (VAT, WHT) vendor classification (Recon GL), payment terms.
• Guide scanning assistant in the customs and freight invoice classification (DHL, Bollore etc.) with regards to the DC and PC
• Ensure that the GE GL accounts are shared/updated for use in PO preparation (SRM and others) and that Genpact posts correctly
• Critical vendor reconciliations to be done by Genpact or locally to ensure no variances
• Drive invoice processing automation such that only invoices from Customs Clearing company are scanned in the office. The rest to be done by vendors themselves
• Maintain and Monitor Cash Flow Plan such that there is enough EUR/USD and KES to cover payment runs.
• Remittance advices to be send to vendors ASAP once payment run is conducted
• Keep the vendor KPI scorecard on Workflows & Vendors green by ensuring no overdue items beyond the given threshold

Domestic customer Account Receivable Management
• Lead and execute the quarterly credit setting in SAP for customers
• Send weekly customer statements to sales team and customers
• Resolve reconciling items that the customers raise
• Work with supply chain to ensure that CNs are issued promptly
• Attend the weekly AR call to discuss status of focus/overdue accounts
• Ensure that Genpact update customer records promptly and correctly
• Compute the quarterly provision for bad debts

Export Customers Credit Controlling
• Monitor and follow-up on export customers receivables. This ensures that forex expected from these customers is factored into the vendor payment cycle runs
• Ensure export customer ledger is updated promptly
• Run a report of credit block releases monthly. This will form a basis for review of customer credit limits and payment terms

Staff Accounts Administration
• Post all the T&E promptly and to the correct GLs and Cost Centres
• Send the staff statements to each employee within 1 week after the end of the month
• Send to payroll for deduction any advances that are overdue by more than 1 month
• Process the staff T&E payments twice a month

Period Close Accruals & Provisions and related activities
• Prepare the JV for regular accruals and provisions each month end and this to go into the correct GLS/CC
• Ensure that the JVs done are compatible with the ROBO so that we are at over 90% JET posting.
• Ensure closing activities are done in line with the closing calendar

Bank Agent
• Do cheques banking daily/train scanning assistant to do this
• Handle bank communication as relates to letters/documents from bank
• Follow-up on year end audit bank confirmations
• Ensure we have no overdue bank items (unposted items more than 5 days) that relate to payments
• Prepare exceptional payments that need to be done on bank portal
• Ensure signatories are updated in all bank accounts as required

RCM and Compliance
• Implement and record the PTP RCM related documents
• Enforce the rules of NO PO NO PAY; No vendor created no pay as well as the use of one-time vendor rules
• Ensure that invoices that are more than 6 months are not posted but are returned to the vendor for action

JOB DETAILS:
Generic Responsibilities
• Responsible for providing strategic advice, technical support and capacity building support to the Country Offices in the region on climate and environment, across Country Offices in the region and the Regional Office.
• Responsible for ensuring that best practices within the climate adaptation are identified, documented and disseminated both within the region and beyond
• Technical supervision of the regional energy adviser providing relevant guidance and follow-up on the clean access to energy components in project development and implementation.
• Work closely with CC Advisors to ensure all technical guidance, project designs, reports etc take climate and environmental dimensions into account
• Work in partnership with the HO Programme department to contribute to specific areas of advocacy, innovation and development, including piloting and learning from experiences at the country office and regional level, development of policies, strategies and tools, and sharing learning with other regions.
• Contribute to the NRC global development of climate adaption integrated response, through collaborative working with and contribution to the NRC Global Development Lead leading the thematic area, and by sharing learning and expertise with the HO level and other Regions.
• Contribute to the resource mobilization and fundraising for regional programme development related to climate and environment. This includes developing new programme design based on learning and evidence and in line with NRC’s Response Policy.
• Facilitating and stimulating an environment conducive to innovation. Keeping informed on innovation insights and analysis of relevance to climate and environment. Ensure this knowledge is integrated into the systems and culture of the organisation at country and regional levels.
• Responsible for identification, development and maintenance of relationships with relevant stakeholders (e.g., donors, UN agencies, NGOs, research- and educational institutions, private sector) related to programmes in general and more specifically as related to NRC’s thematic activities. Participation to relevant working groups and interagency coordination mechanisms in the area of climate and environment in the region.
• Contribute to development and delivery of induction and training provision of CO staff in relation to own thematic area, working collaboratively with Learning & Development and other colleagues. Contribute to recruitment interviews for technical staff. May provide some technical supervision to technical staff in Country Offices.
• Work in partnership with the regional and country office advocacy leads to identify and develop regional advocacy issues related to climate and environment and relevant cross-cutting issues.

Specific Responsibilities
• Manage mapping on Climate Adaptation in humanitarian response in the region and present recommendations to Regional Management. Capture best practices and share these among programme, advocacy and support teams.
• Responsible to map potential partnerships for NRC within climate and environment and provide recommendation to the regional management team. In addition, consolidate and signpost donor policy minimum environmental standards and climate adaptation funding opportunities.
• Expand environmental assessment and programme adaptation cross-learning, including climate-proofing in NRC’s programmes sectors guidance, and produce a regular 'analysis and learning report' - including summaries of all NEAT+ assessments and findings in the region, and climate adaptation pilots.
• Capacity build and support roll out of environmental screening, including through the NEAT+ tool, to NRC COs and humanitarian partners
• Conduct analysis on the effects of climate change on displacement affected communities and their coping strategies to these and disseminate regularly to improve knowledge and expertise within NRC.
• Responsible for supporting development, implementation and monitoring of climate, energy and environment activities in country offices

Professional Competencies:
• In-depth knowledge and expertise of climate and environment related to humanitarian response, with expertise within climate adaptation
• Several years of documented experience working within climate and environment field
• Extensive experience in programming in complex and volatile contexts with preference for previous experience in East Africa and Yemen region
• Experience of strategic approaches to programme development
• Experience of developing practical tools and resources
• Experience of programme quality assessments, programme development and delivery
• Understanding of and commitment to organisational learning, and the role and contribution of M&E to quality management and development
• Understanding of, and commitment to working collaboratively with technical and operational colleagues within a matrix structure, including capacity building
• Experience of delivering learning and development as part of quality improvement and capacity building
• Fluency in English both written and verbal

Job Description
Working closely with the Branch Business Growth and Development Manager, he /she will be responsible for the entire credit granting process at branch level, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of asset growth and low level on Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).
• Primarily responsible for achievement of the overall Asset portfolio growth and quality for the branch.
• Oversee the quality of branch portfolio and maintain it within approved levels
• Manage the monitoring of the branch loan portfolio including loans in arrears and ensure proper follow up and evidence of follow up is maintained on the customers’ credit files
• In charge of the appraisal and account relationship management for all borrowing customers in the branch
• Ensure all lending proposals are analyzed against all the canons of lending (Character, Capacity , Conditions , Capital , and Collateral ) as a basis for making approval / decline recommendations and that they are within the Bank’s Credit Policy & lending guidelines
• Participate and chair the branch credit committee meetings and is responsible for risk assessment of all the loans disbursed for the branch.
• Ensure full compliance and adherence to credit policies and procedures for all the loans processed and disbursed.
• Actively monitor and effect compliance to credit policies and procedures for the entire credit granting process.
• Cross-sell other products and services of the Bank to increase the Bank’s income streams from existing customers.
• Cascading and enforcement of all credit circulars on policy changes and lending guidelines communicated from head office from time to time
• Track and monitor customer service level agreements at all times such as the turnaround time for loan appraisals
• Ensure the bank’s customer service standards are maintained at all levels in credit processing
• Maintain and regularly update the branch credit risk register.
• Ensure all credit controls are upheld at all times and any credit audit issues raised are closed within the agreed timelines.
• Set targets and manage the Performance of all the credit staff within the branch in accordance with the branch business plan and credit policy
• Mentor, train and coach all the credit staff within the branch
• Ensure optimal staffing and supervision of all the credit staff within the branch
• Foster teamwork, ensure motivation and discipline among credit staff
• Ensure any policy exemptions are properly authorized at the correct level
• Escalate any adverse observations and comments with the Head of Credit
• Monitor, on a continuous basis, all transactions to ensure that unusual and suspicious transactions are reported to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
• Implementing and enforcing the board approved AML, KYC & CFT policy in as far as is applicable within my area of responsibility
• Do any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
