The purpose of the job is to implement the CFAO Motors Kenya strategy through initiating proactive marketing action plans, monitoring efficiency and effective=ness, and drive the achievement of aagreed targets. The Brand Manager is expected to deliver the overall Marketing & Communication objective of enhancing brand visibility and upholding/promoting a positive organizational brand image & reputation. He/she will achieve this by leading the development and execution of all the brand plans and marketing initiatives within CFAO Motors Kenya.
These brand plans are developed in collaboration with the Business Unit heads, and are aimed at creating awareness and uptake of the existing and/or new products and services, in order to deliver on the organisation’s growth strategy and overall Business unit objectives. The role holder is a brand champion and is responsible for cascading and managing the brand guidelines as they are applied across the different marketing and communications engagements, to ensure a strong and consistent brand is delivered at all times.
The role holder is also responsible for tracking and monitoring the overall brand health and brand equity, as well as the implementation of Brand Health Measurement programs in order to establish market perceptions/insights and level of affinity for the brand.

The key roles and responsibilities include:
• Develop annual brand plans and Implement approved marketing initiatives for different products in CFAO Motors Kenya (Toyota, Suzuki, Hino, Yamaha, Winpart, Automark and Autofast) together with respective teams in line with the overall strategic objectives of the company to facilitate achievement of sales targets for the brands.
• Act as a strategic business partner to the respective Business units, aligning on their strategic initiatives, offering marketing direction and support, ensuring their objectives are met within budget and efficiently, with demonstrated Return on Investment (ROI)
• Develop and implement the annual marketing brand plans in collaboration with the Business Unit heads, to drive their strategic objectives and aligned to the overall Organisational objectives
• In collaboration with Business Unit heads, develop, track and monitor annual marketing budget for different brands to ensure the allocation of sufficient funds for successful implementation of the marketing initiatives.
• Monitor, control and reporting on the utilization of the marketing budget in order to support efficiency in the management of costs at CFAO Motors Kenya
• Financial acumen with strong capabilities around financial analysis, reporting and interpretation of business numbers to inform business strategic initiatives and drive marketing decisions
• In charge of all digital assets for CFAO Motors Kenya including and not limited to websites, digital and social assets both internally and externally and responsible for managing 3rd parties in charge of managements of said assets to drive marketing strategic objectives and brand building for CFAO Motors Kenya
• Initiate implementation of brand surveys as well as market intelligence, research and surveys to ensure relevant and up to date customer and industry information to inform business and marketing initiatives.
• Working in collaboration with the brand executives, Review and submit reports on the implementation of the marketing strategies and brand plans to ensure Return on Investment (ROI) against all marketing initiatives.
• Act as a Brand owner, by entrenching the brand guidelines internally and externally and ensuring brand standards are maintained at all times across Above the Line (ATL), Below the Line (BTL), digital and experiential touch points
• Working closely with the Marketing Manager, in charge of planning, preparation and execution of all brand building initiatives for CFAO Motors Kenya
• In charge of Quarterly reviews of the marketing plans in collaboration with the brand executives to ensure the plans are aligned with the corporate CFAO Motors Kenya marketing strategy.
• In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, incharge of recruiting and management of external agency relationship across creative, PR and digital, ensuring onboarding and management of the agency relationships, as well as monitoring performance against set scope of work, with period reviews and reporting in adherence to contractual agreements.
• In charge of building a strong digital brand for CFAO Motors Kenya, in collaboration with Marketing Manager and external agency partners, to drive top of mind awareness for CFAO Motors Kenya brand and all products within the business in support of the overall business strategic objectives.

Knowledge/Skills & Experience
Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or relevant field from a recognized institution
• Post graduate Diploma in marketing
• Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role
• Minimum 7 years of working experience in a relevant field from a reputable organization

About the job
As the Digital Marketing Head, you shall, foremost, be responsible for revenue generation through and using digital platforms, and to lead and line-manage the digital sales team, have a day-to-day overview of the Company’s website, online presence, digital platform activity, and social media channels and a strategic overview of the ecosystem, and performance of the product on the dashboard, and ensure the Company’s digital presence is constantly improving. You shall be responsible for recruiting, training, leading and managing the Digital Marketing Team and driving their performance to achieve their sales targets towards consistently increasing net profits for the organization. You shall use your in-depth knowledge in digital marketing and in-depth understanding of the online marketplace to develop a strong digital strategy that is tailored to the Company’s goals and objectives. You shall be responsible for all aspects of the demand generation process and building a complete lead generation system that gets results. Your ultimate goal is to deliver on daily, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets. You shall be required to get your team to deliver game-changing results, spearheading the move to take the product global within months.

Reporting to the CEO and/or his designate, the main roles of this position include:
• Generate consistently increasing revenue for the company by meeting the set daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue targets
• Set up, implement and manage the Company’s overall digital marketing strategy in order to achieve our business goals and objectives
• Maintain an overview of all online communications, external-facing digital products and social media across all platforms, developing and promoting standards and processes to ensure quality, usability and consistency for our audiences
• Develop and execute campaigns tied to Product and Sales Goals
• Coach, advise and share information on digital content, communications and services with the wider organization. Encourage and support staff across the Company to engage with digital communications and adopt a ‘digital first’ mind set

Job Objective:
• The Head of Brand and Communications is responsible for creating, delivering and measuring the effectiveness of a comprehensive strategic internal and external communications plan that fully supports WIOCC Group business objectives – covering employees, clients, prospects, shareholders, trade bodies and associations, media, analysts and other influencers. This is an integrated strategic communications role with responsibility for B2B content and distribution across digital, advertising, event management, PR, facilities and internal communications.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities, but are not limited to:
• Work with the Group CMO and Country Marketing teams to develop, agree and deliver an integrated communications strategy for WIOCC Group
• Agree, document and maintain a communications plan covering all internal and external
communications activity, sharing this with all stakeholders on a regular basis
• Manage implementation of the communications plan, to include:
• Identifying and recommending appropriate industry events, conferences, workshops and seminars, assisting with content creation and fully supporting the logistics required to maximise return on investment
• Selecting suitable African and international publications with which to place advertising, negotiating favourable terms, generating suitable adverts and liaising with publishers to ensure maximum return on investment
• Working alone and with agencies to source opportunities for further free-of-charge exposure in African and international publications – supporting journalists and/or developing copy to fulfil such opportunities
• Developing press releases, articles and compelling “thought leadership” pieces for African and international markets
• Producing internal and external newsletters to communicate developments and “good news”
• Managing WIOCC Group websites, blogs and social media presence
• Preparing external presentations for delivery at conferences etc., as required
• Manage WIOCC Group and associated brands to ensure consistency, maximising market awareness and impact within Africa and internationally

newsletters, desktop, office branding, etc., measuring the impact of communications on employees and recommending/implementing improvements where appropriate
• Provide leadership, advice, guidance and support as the line manager of the Brand/Marketing
Communications team
• Track industry and competitor news, sharing items of strategic importance and documenting key
activities in WIOCC Group markets and beyond
• Identify and pursue opportunities to secure industry award nominations, shortlisting’s and successes
• Ensure that WIOCC Group continues to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by digital/online channels – including optimising websites, blogs, SEO, paid promotion, etc.
• Select and manage external agencies as required, including press/PR, design and digital
• Together with the Group CMO and Country Marketing teams, develop the annual Marketing
Communications budget build for the following year
• Work with the Commercial team to ensure that supplier expectations are managed appropriately and that bills are paid on time
• Other duties at the discretion of the CMO/CEO

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing, Advertising, Communication, Finance, or any related field
• A postgraduate degree will be advantageous
• 8+ years’ experience in communications, marketing, or media
