Responsibilities
• Management of credit control function to ensure revenues are all captured
• Manage cash flow, as well as proper book keeping
• Management of creditors to ensure payments are timely.
• Funds management through preparation of monthly and weekly forecasts
• Bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded
• Fixed assets management, policies and procedures
• Projects financial planning
• Train and develop departmental staff in liaison with Human Resource after training needs assessment
• Stakeholder management of customers, auditors, banks, service providers and suppliers
• Timely insurance policies renewal and acquisition
• Tax planning and management for regulatory compliance

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution
• Be a CPA finalist and a Member of ICPAK
• Five (5) years’ of relevant experience
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel-spreadsheet, word, Power point
• High level of integrity

Responsibilities:
• Record all financial transactions accurately, completely and in a timely manner in line with the Chart of Accounts through the accounting system
• Processing & paying supplier invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensuring that proper authorization procedures are followed before payments are made
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations on or before the stipulated deadline
• Ensure sound financial management and compliance of assigned grants/projects and office operational activities to include:
• Monitoring of project budgets and expenses
• Preparation of vouchers, cheques, and EFT payments and processing of payments
• Invoicing/tracking of accounts receivable and cash receipts;
• Maintain, Record and Reconcile petty cash account
• Liquidation of employee receivables in line with manual records/expense forms from staff
• Preparation of bank reconciliations, filing of all accounting vouchers and documents
• Ensure all financial assets are adequately recorded, safeguarded and all financial documents are securely filed
• Ensure availability of accurate, complete and timely financial information for decision making purposes by senior management
• Record, count and update the Asset and Inventory Register regularly
• Payroll support by filing of statutory returns and payment of other payroll deductions to the relevant bodies in an accurate and timely manner
• Undertake Banking duties as and when required
• Support the project and institutional audit process as may be required
• Assist in undertaking M&E Activities for projects
• Participate in other program implementation activities and miscellaneous finance duties as required and assigned by the Senior Finance and Administration Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum Degree in related Business Field and CPA II or equivalent.
• Minimum of at least two (2) years of accounting experience in a similar capacity working with an international NGO on donor funded project
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Strong work ethic, ability and willingness to work independently.
• Possess a high degree of integrity, and a strong commitment to EPN’s mission
• Able to work in team settings and willingness to learn.
• Skills in Project management, Budgeting, Finance Management, Reporting, Project monitoring and evaluation (M&E)
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); working knowledge of Quick-books will be an added advantage.
