Liaison officers will be responsible to the respective County Chief Officer and or the County Secretary and Head of Public Service for the general administration and management of county. Intergovernmental and International affairs.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide an integral link between the county and the respective stakeholders and other relevant offices both at county and at national level.
• Coordinate donor and diaspora engagement meetings.
• Coordinate logistics and activities for County officers and respective Stakeholders/investors on official duties.
• Ensuring proper Planning and utilization of resources and carrying out general office administration duties.
• Set and oversee Internal operating rules and regulations
• Establish an efficient registry for effective record keeping. filing and tracking of all office Inventories, malls and files and monitoring their movement and effective correspondence and relaying the same to the county government.
• Maintain an updated Inventory of office assets and liabilities and ensure their timely maintenance.
• Attend regular sectorial and Intergovernmental meetings as delegated by the County Secretary.
• Conduct periodic research in thematic areas from time to time and provide balanced analysis and assessments to inform Kisi County Government.
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements For Appointment

• Be a Kenyan Citizen.
• A Bachelor's degree holder in International relations & diplomacy. public administration, social science or equivalent.
• Must have relevant work experience or related and equivalent positon.
• Must demonstrate strategic planning skills and ability to design and Implement short term, medium & long term plans.
• Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles as outlined in articles 10 &232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, meets deadlines and develops innovative recommendations and solutions to problems.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. vill. Must be organized, motivated and a team player.
• Computer literacy with all aspects of Microsoft Windows network; experience with database management a plus.
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

Key Roles And Responsibilities
• The Dean of Students shall be responsible to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics, Research and Student Affairs.
• The Dean of Students shall coordinate students activities and student welfare and in this connection, shall have oversight responsibility for sports, games, entertainment, counselling, student organizations, student accommodation, Student Council, student advisory services, career development services and students’ personal development.
• The Dean of Student shall be the Returning Officer during elections of office-bearers of the Student Council/Association.
• The Dean of Students shall provide guidance to professional and social clubs and societies formed by students
• The Dean of Student shall inculcate the moral values as contained in the mission and vision of the University.
• The Dean of Students will be the Chairman of the Sports and Games Committee that will operate under the Office of the Deans of Students.

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the above position based in Nairobi Kenya. The position holder will report to the Regional Director, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management Department.

Responsibilities:
• Organize and coordinate the activities and functions of the Director’s office.
• Attend to all incoming and outgoing calls to the Director’s office. Arrange conference calls, courier of mail, and receive sort and routine mail.
• Requisition stationery items for the Director’s office and create and maintain an up-to-date filing system.
• Maintain, secure and account for office petty cash.
• Organize the Director’s calendar by effectively planning and scheduling tasks and appointments. Ensure the Director is updated of all relevant issues and meetings by communicating clearly and consistently with the Director.
• Verify that all contract and clearing invoices are as per provided rate.
• Process and update LPO in the contract file/LPO register.
• Inform and communicate to all teams/MMD staff when shipments are arriving and arrange for documentation from clearing agents.
• Receive and re-direct shipment(s) to the respective teams and update the weekly register with receipt data.
• Receive and issue bonds within the same business day and follow-up with signatories to remain timely within target process/completion days.
• Submit VAT, Bond Documents/Contract(s) and Clearing invoices within the required timeline.
• Update Bond, Contract(s), Shipment, VAT and LPO for any cancellation in a timely manner.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the department supervisor or manager.

Requirements:
• Minimum of Diploma in Secretarial Studies/General Secretarial/Office Management
• Degree in a Business Administration/ Office Administration/Office management added advantage
• At least 2 years work experience
• Computer literacy is mandatory
• Organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated initiative. Ability to set priorities and work effectively with minimum supervision
• Able to work flexible/long hours when required
