Overall Responsibility
The role has the responsibility to develop software systems, micro-services, tools, scripts, and Android apps. It will involve documenting the use of frameworks and libraries as well as documenting the existing and newly created code base. The role will also involve implementing agreed upon software quality assurance standards & development/staging/production workflows using GitHub.

• Implement the road-map for internal software development, and the workflow using GitHub to support multiple developers in development, testing, staging, and production environments- Q1 2023
• Implement Poa! share software project in a timely manner , ensuring proper documentation and aligned to agreed upon software quality- Q1 2023

• Implement data warehouse pipelines incorporating all Poa! Software ecosystem into a Data lake /Data Mart- Q3 2023
• Successful migration (Go live) of current OSS/BSS platform from Admin v2 to Adminv3 by June 2023- Q2 2023
• Implement a mass-SMS micro-service against Africastalking API and Admin v3- Q2 2023
• Develop a micro-service for CPE and RF equipment provisioning, which works with our existing provisioning app, and which creates new devices in Inventory and Admin v3- Q3 2023
• Extract the functionality of our CRM system from our current OSS/BSS Admin v2 and implement a microservice against OSS/BSS Admin v3 - Q2 2023
• Develop an Android App for staff use, featuring all CRM functionality (survey, install, activate, etc.) - Q4 2023

Mandatory Criteria if Any with no exceptions to hire.
• Must be aligned with similar Values and DNA to Poa! to ensure cultural alignment
• Must have developed software in PHP and JavaScript, and used HTML/CSS in front-end development
• Must have developed shell scripts (bash), python, and PHP cli scripts
• Must have deep knowledge of HTTP/REST and other API protocols, and use of tools such as Postman
• Must have experience documenting software systems e.g API documentation, ERD design documentation,SDK documentation, Test Schedules

About the role
Regen Organics is looking for a Process Design Fellow/Intern who will work under a Process Engineer and will be responsible for applying engineering principles and techniques to optimize the production processes in the manufacturing environment to meet organisational objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform hydraulic calculations to determine line sizes, pump specifications, and control valve sizing.
• Perform heat transfer calculations to determine heat exchanger duty requirements and sizing.
• Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) for different processing units, including details such as line sizes, control valves, isolation valves, and control logic.
• Participate in and lead a P & ID review session.
• Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies.
• Create close-out reports for P&ID review sessions and HAZOP sessions.
• Contribute to reviews of vendor documentation and other discipline documents.
• Develop linelists and set hydrotest boundary limits.
• Create operating guidelines and start-up/commissioning procedures.
• Interact with other disciplines and vendors to ensure design accuracy.
• Lead Equipment installation, commissioning, operator training, and handover.
• Audit site operations to ensure equipment work instructions have been fully adopted.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
• Good understanding of chemical engineering concepts specifically fluid dynamics and heat transfer models
• Experience developing or contributing to control philosophies and operating guidelines
• Experience developing or contributing to the sizing of processing equipment such as pumps, blowers, heat exchangers, piping systems, and control valves
• Detail-oriented with demonstrated capability to analyze processing systems efficiently and rapidly
• Ability to look beyond the most obvious solution to provide engineering designs that are safe, practical, reliable, and cost-effective
• A learning mindset and interest in taking on board constructive feedback from senior engineers in order to develop their process engineering expertise while delivering solutions that meet design requirements and stakeholder expectations
• A proactive attitude, with a willingness to get involved and learn by doing
• Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form
