Zetech University is hiring Tutorial Fellows to support teaching, prepare course materials, supervise projects, and provide academic guidance. Applicants should have a relevant Master’s degree, strong research skills, and relevant academic experience.

Job Objective

The University invites applications from suitably qualified, dynamic, and results-oriented individuals to fill the position of Tutorial Fellow in the above disciplines. The successful candidates will join a vibrant academic community committed to excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Teach courses assigned by the Head of Department in their respective areas of specialization.
  • Design, develop, plan, and deliver academic programmes and course units at various levels, including new programmes where applicable.
  • Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, practicals, and fieldwork as appropriate to the discipline.
  • Review and update course content, teaching materials, and assessment methods to ensure relevance and quality.
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues in curriculum development, programme review, and enhancement of teaching and learning.
  • Undertake research, publish scholarly work, and prepare competitive research grant proposals.
  • Seek and participate in consultancies and other income-generating academic activities.
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.
  • Disseminate research outputs through publications and other appropriate platforms.
  • Mentor and provide academic, professional, and career guidance to students and junior staff.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university activities as required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or other authorized officers in line with the University’s policies and job requirements.

Qualification and experience

  • Registration for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent doctoral degree in the relevant field and demonstrate satisfactory progress towards completion.
  • A Master’s degree in the relevant discipline from an accredited and recognized university.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from an accredited and recognized university.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant post-qualification work experience.
  • Demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience.
  • Registration with, or eligibility for registration with, the relevant professional body where applicable.
