The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) will be recruiting Secondary School teachers/College tutors as assessors for the KCSE examination Oral and Practical papers between 22nd June and 15th July, 2026. The professionals identified will be trained on-the-job during assessment of the 2026 KCSE examination papers.
Teachers/Tutors who are already in the KNEC database of assessors need not apply.
Applications are invited from all interested and qualified teachers/tutors, guided by the following:
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications for recruitment:
The applicants MUST:
- Be a practicing teacher/tutor in the relevant subjects;
- Be registered and/or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or a recognized professional body;
- Have a Diploma in Education or in the relevant area of specialization;
- Have a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering for Aviation Technology;
- Have a minimum teaching experience of three (3) years and above;
- Be recommended by their Heads of institution;
- NOT be on interdiction or, any other form of disciplinary action from the employer;
- Be recommended by their Heads of Institution or employers;
- Be 50 years of age and below.
- Assess KCSE examination Oral and Practical papers.
- Practicing teacher/tutor in the relevant subjects.

- Diploma in Education or in the relevant area of specialization.
- Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering for Aviation Technology.

Applicants are required to do the following:
- Access the KNEC examiners' portal using the link https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke/;
- Those with CP2 accounts, should log into the portal using their usernames and passwords;
- Those who have forgotten their CP2 passwords, should click on reset password button and enter their mobile number in the format (2547*********) and submit to get new passwords for logging to the system;
- Those without CP2 accounts, should click on create account and follow the instructions to acquire login credentials to access system;
- Upon successful log in, the applicants will complete their personal profile and save. On the dashboard, click on apply for assessors' vacancies and all the declared vacancies will be available for the applicants to choose.
The slots are limited and only qualified applicants who have presented all the required documents will be shortlisted for the exercise.
