Job Summary:

The CPA Lecturer is responsible for preparing students for the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) examinations. The role requires a deep understanding of the CPA syllabus and the ability to break down complex financial concepts for effective learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Exam Preparation: Teach subjects covering the CPA syllabus including Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and Commercial Law.

Tuition Delivery: Conduct lectures, tutorials, and revision sessions tailored to the CPA examination format.

Assessment: Set continuous assessment tests, assignments, and mock examinations that mirror the CPA exam structure.

Student Success: Analyze student performance data to identify weak areas and provide remedial support.

Resource Development: Develop study materials, notes, and revision kits for students.

Compliance: Ensure coverage of the syllabus is complete before the examination window.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance) or Business Administration.

Professional Qualification: Must be a qualified CPA (K) holder.

Additional Qualification: A Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years teaching CPA students at a recognized college.

Registration: Registration with ICPAK (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya).
