The role
Pixel Systems is adding a CRM Data Assistant to help us support a regional financial services provider that is expanding their operations. This client needs to move away from fragmented spreadsheets and legacy systems into a unified platform that can handle their growing customer base. In this role, you will be the person who ensures that information stays clean, organized, and accurate as it moves between these different tools. It is a vital part of making sure the software we build actually works for the people using it every day.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency. We do not build flashy social media apps or marketing sites that disappear in a week. We focus on the practical tools that businesses need to function: admin dashboards, CRM integrations, and complex database migrations. Our clients come to us because we are straightforward. We provide fixed quotes, perform weekly demos so everyone is on the same page, and hand over all the code and documentation when a project is done.
We are a fully remote team of developers and designers who value stability over trends. We use reliable technologies like Postgres, Node, and React because they work. We do not have layers of management or corporate bureaucracy. Instead, we focus on writing clean code and building systems that solve real operational headaches for our clients.
The Role
Your work will center on the integrity of the information inside the systems we build. When we integrate a new CRM for a client, the data often starts in a messy state. You will be responsible for cleaning up those records and preparing them for migration. This means identifying duplicate entries, fixing formatting issues, and ensuring that data fields are mapped correctly between the old system and the new one.
You will work closely with our engineering team to verify that data imports are successful. If an address or an account number looks incorrect, you will be the one to investigate the source and fix it. This role is fully remote, and you will coordinate your findings with the rest of the team through our internal chat and video meetings. It is a position that requires a careful eye and a methodical approach to handling large sets of information.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who is naturally organized and enjoys the process of bringing order to chaotic information. You do not need a long professional history for this position, but you should have a solid grasp of how data is structured. We value people who are comfortable working independently and who take pride in the accuracy of their work.
- A high level of attention to detail when looking at lists and records.
- The ability to follow instructions for data cleanup and formatting.
- A basic understanding of how databases or spreadsheets organize information.
- Good written communication skills for explaining data issues to the team.
- A reliable approach to managing your own tasks in a remote environment.
- Comfort with repetitive tasks that require consistent quality.
- A willingness to learn how different software tools talk to one another.
Helpful Background
While this is an entry-level role, there are a few technical skills that will help you get up to speed quickly. We do not expect you to be an expert, but familiarity with these areas is a plus:
- Basic or intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas and filtering.
- Previous exposure to any CRM platform, like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho, even in a volunteer or school setting.
- Basic knowledge of what an API does or how data moves between web applications.
- Familiarity with GitHub or other version control tools for basic collaboration.
- An interest in learning SQL to help query databases directly.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working here is different from a typical corporate job. We are a small team where everyone's contribution is visible. There are no redundant meetings or filler projects. Because we are a remote company, we trust our team to manage their time and get their work done without someone looking over their shoulder. You will see how your work directly enables a regional financial services provider to better serve their customers.
We believe in paying people fairly for their time and expertise. This position is a paid role, and the compensation is competitive for the entry-level data market. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior engineers and see the inner workings of how complex business software is built and maintained.
Pixel Systems is a place for people who like to solve puzzles and build things that last. We value honesty, clear communication, and working code. If you enjoy digging into the details and ensuring that a system is built on a foundation of clean, reliable data, you will find plenty of meaningful work here.
