The Key Responsibility Areas are as follows :

Strategic Oversight:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's overall objectives. This includes setting goals for underwriting, claims processing, and legal compliance.
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to formulate and execute long-term business strategies.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the CEO and board of directors on operational performance and key achievements.

Team Management:

Lead and manage teams across underwriting, claims, and legal departments. This involves ensuring that staff are well-trained, motivated, and working efficiently towards common goals

Performance Monitoring:

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of operations. This helps in identifying areas for improvement and ensuring that processes are optimized for better performance.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all operations comply with relevant laws and regulations. This includes managing risks associated with underwriting and claims, and ensuring legal compliance in all activities.
  • Identify potential risks to business operations and proactively implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Work with the CEO and management team to address operational challenges and potential risks.

Process Improvement:

Continuously seek ways to improve operational processes. This involves implementing new technologies, refining existing procedures, and adopting best practices to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Stakeholder Communication:

Act as a liaison between the operations department and senior management, provide regular updates on performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Process Optimization:

Review, develop, and refine internal processes and workflows to ensure efficient operations.

Financial Oversight & Budgeting:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor operational costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Ensure the company adheres to financial goals, targets, and financial best practices.

Client Satisfaction & Service Delivery:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and resolving any operational challenges affecting clients.
  • Develop and manage post-sale support processes to address client needs and concerns promptly.
  • Regularly evaluate service delivery performance and make improvements based on client feedback.

Industry Awareness & Market Intelligence:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in the insurance and financial sectors.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and stay ahead of competitors in offering value added solutions.
  • Support the development of new services and solutions based on emerging market needs.

Leadership in Sustainability:

  • Champion sustainability initiatives within the organization, promoting the integration of
  • sustainable practices into operations.
  • Support the company’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility through operational strategies and practices.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned to the jobholder by the CEO from time to time.
