Role Overview

We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of loan applicants, analyzing financial data, and making recommendations on loan approvals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the credit risk of loan applicants.
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast loan performance and identify potential risks.
• Prepare credit reports and present findings and recommendations to the credit committee.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance and identify any early warning signs of default.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure a smooth loan application and disbursement process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Credit Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and financial modeling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit analysis or a related financial role.
