About the Role

We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused, and safety-conscious Delivery Rider to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring accountability for company assets and customer payments.

This role operates within a 24-hour, 7-day operational environment. The successful candidate must be willing to work on a rotational shift basis, including day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer orders safely, accurately, and within the required timelines.
  • Verify orders before dispatch to ensure the correct products, quantities, and documentation are issued.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Verify customer identity and age where required before handing over alcoholic beverages.
  • Collect cash, mobile money, card, or other approved customer payments and accurately account for all collections.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the assigned motorcycle and report any faults, damage, or maintenance requirements.
  • Safeguard company motorcycles, delivery equipment, uniforms, and other assigned assets.
  • Comply with all road traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety requirements.
  • Provide professional, courteous, and efficient customer service.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and complete all required documentation.
  • Report delivery delays, accidents, customer complaints, or operational issues promptly.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Rider Supervisor or Management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid Motorcycle Riding Licence (Class A/A2 or other applicable class under Kenyan law).
  • Certificate in Defensive Riding is an added advantage.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct is an added advantage.
  • Basic smartphone literacy and ability to use GPS navigation and delivery applications.

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a delivery rider, courier, or in a similar role.
  • Experience in customer service is an added advantage.
  • Experience in handling customer payments is an added advantage.
  • Experience in the FMCG, retail, e-commerce, logistics, or beverage industry is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet delivery timelines while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety, and accountability.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent motorcycle riding skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
