RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and document internal and external consultations for the development of the Resource Mobilization Strategy, including stakeholder mapping, feedback analysis, and consolidation of inputs.
  • Contribute to the drafting, review, and finalization of the Resource Mobilization Strategy, integrating donor feedback and ensuring alignment with UN-Habitat’s strategic objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support the execution of structured donor dialogue events (e.g., donor breakfasts, thematic roundtables, and one-on-one donor consultations) in line with engagement objectives.
  • Conduct strategic donor research to identify emerging and priority donors, including governments, foundations, philanthropies, and private sector entities.
  • Track key donor engagement activities and funding proposal submissions, record and manage related engagement data in Engagement Compass on a monthly basis and follow up on the actions identified from the engagement activities.
  • Prepare and disseminate donor intelligence products, including the funding digest and acquisition reports to Member States.
  • Develop donor-specific communication materials such as briefing notes, talking points, annotated slide decks, and engagement backgrounders for high-level meetings. 8. Lead the production of the Urban Impact newsletter and other donor communication materials, ensuring strategic donor visibility and the integration of engagement highlights.
  • Deliver a comprehensive performance report at the end of the contract period, summarizing donor trends, engagement impact, and recommendations for future resource mobilization planning.

Qualifications/special skills

  • A degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, International Relations is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of office experience in a donor relations, partnerships, fundraising, or communications related role is required.
  • Experience in a UN or international development context is desirable Demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement, strategy drafting, and information product development are desirable.
  • Proficiency in the use CSS and Html is an added advantage is desirable.
