Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineering Lecturer is tasked with imparting knowledge in electrical principles, power systems, electronics, and control systems. The role involves both theoretical teaching and practical workshop instruction to ensure students gain hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction: Teach courses in Electrical Circuits, Power Generation & Transmission, Electrical Machines, PLCs, and Renewable Energy.
Practical Sessions: Design and supervise practical experiments in the electrical workshop/lab, ensuring student safety and adherence to procedures.
Project Supervision: Guide final-year students in the design and implementation of electrical projects.
Curriculum Support: Review and implement the curriculum as per the examining body (e.g., KNEC, KASNEB).
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and functionality of lab equipment and tools.
Industrial Training: Coordinate with industries for student attachment and assess student logbooks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power or Electronics option) from a recognized institution. A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience or relevant industry experience.
- Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and a valid Practicing License is an added advantage.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using simulation software (e.g., MATLAB, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into practical applications.
