Environmental Health Safety Specialist Job KEDA

KEDA (Kenya) Ceramics Company Ltd, a leading manufacturer of high-quality ceramic tiles, is seeking to recruit a competent and motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to join our team. If you are passionate about ensuring workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
  2. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
  3. Develop, implement, and update EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
  4. Investigate incidents and near-misses, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  5. Lead employee training and awareness programs on EHS best practices.
  6. Prepare and submit EHS reports to management and regulatory bodies.
  7. Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct periodic drills.
  8. Continuously monitor and improve EHS performance metrics.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  2. At least 2 year of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  3. Strong understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
  4. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  5. High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
