Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Core Finance Operations: Maintain accurate AR/AP ledgers, issue timely invoices, and reconcile accounts weekly to support smooth financial transactions and healthy cash flow.
  • Own Cash Flow Performance: Monitor collections and payments, manage aging reports, and flag risks early to optimize working capital and strengthen financial health.
  • Lead Cost Tracking & Analysis: Work with Supply Chain to capture and allocate all COGS components, ensuring accurate reporting and data-driven margin analysis.
  • Support Strategic Decision-Making: Build dynamic financial models and cost analysis tools to guide forecasting, pricing, and commercial strategy.
  • Ensure Accurate Closures: Collaborate with the Finance Director and external accountants to deliver timely, audit-ready month-end closes and financial reporting.
  • Enhance Tech-Enabled Finance: Partner with Tech and Ops to streamline processes and improve financial data flows through systems and tools.
  • Oversee Fund Operations: Support the Revolving Inventory Finance Fund with day-to-day disbursements, repayments, due diligence, and compliance monitoring.
  •  Champion Financial Integrity & Compliance: Ensure full alignment with tax laws, local regulations, and internal controls while contributing to financial innovation and scale.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) is required.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, ideally within supply chain, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or trading sectors.
  • Proven experience managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
  • Direct involvement in month-end close processes and collaboration with external accounting firms
  • Strong track record of working cross-functionally with teams like Supply Chain, Commercial, and Operations.
  • Exposure to donor-funded projects, fund management, or inventory financing mechanisms (e.g., Revolving Funds).
  • Demonstrated experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments, with adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across virtual, cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with international finance and accounting operations, with a strong understanding of IFRS compliance.
