Fitness Instructor at Accor

We are looking to grow our team and engage a highly motivated and passionate Fitness Instructor who will work closely with the team to drive and deliver on the Fairmont promise, turning moments into special memories.
- Conduct personal training sessions and group fitness classes tailored to guest and member needs.
- Provide orientations to new guests and members on safe use of gym equipment.
- Offer expert guidance on exercise plans and wellness routines.
- Supervise the fitness center during operational hours to ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
- Monitor guest activity and respond to health or safety concerns promptly.
- Develop and maintain a database of gym members including registration details, usage trends, and fitness progress.
- Keep updated attendance, membership, and training session logs.
- Ensure guest safety by adhering to hotel safety protocols.
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
- Conduct regular risk assessments of the fitness facility.
- Record and promptly follow up on any guest complaints or incidents.
- Assist in resolving guest concerns with professionalism and discretion.
- Manage the lost and found process for items left in the gym, following hotel policy.
- Ensure cleanliness, order, and functionality of all gym equipment.
- Report faulty or damaged machines and coordinate timely maintenance.
- Monitor and control inventory for gym supplies (towels, water, cleaning agents, etc.).
- Prepare requisitions for stock replenishment and assist in monthly stocktakes.
- Support the front office team from time to time.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
- A Degree or Diploma in Recreation and Sports Management, Physical Education, Fitness Instruction, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5-star hotel or high-end fitness facility.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with gym equipment, fitness software and outdoor games.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- The position requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, as per the operational needs of the hotel.
