The role: The Food and Beverages Specialist will be responsible for offering support in cleaning and kitchen services.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Under guidance take lead in food preparation, including cooking, grilling, baking, following standardized recipes and guidelines for meal preparation. 
  • Monitor food quality during preparation to ensure food safety and adherence to established food preparation standards.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely preparation and service of meals. 
  • Share knowledge and guidance to other staff members (kitchen) on food preparation techniques and standards. 
  • Respond to inquiries, special requests, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Assist in inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels, including stock rotation and replenishment of food and cleaning supplies 
  • Assist in developing and implementing hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures. 
  • Lead in daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in the kitchen and ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures and schedules.
  •  Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas to identify areas requiring attention repair. 
  • Coordinate with the supervisor to ensure kitchen facilities meet health and safety regulations and report any non-compliance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. 
  • Provide recommendations on menu items. 
  • Resolve simple customer complaints and issues. 
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in customer service areas. 
  • Receive incoming food and beverage deliveries and stock shelves accordingly. 
  • Follow established procedures for storing, rotating, and disposing of perishable and non-perishable items.
  •  Assist in basic quality control tasks such as visual inspections and simple measurements and report any quality issues or deviations from standards to the appropriate personnel. 
  • Follow established quality control procedures and guidelines under supervision. 
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with team members and supervisors.
  • Efficiently manage and complete assigned tasks, meet deadlines and quality standards.

Experience Required: 

  • Minimum High School Diploma
