This is a full-time on-site role for a Front Desk Receptionist at Cold Springs Homa Bay Hotel in Homa Bay County, Kenya. The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for phone etiquette, receptionist duties, communication with guests, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Prepare and complete room and restaurant bills
- Handle payments through cash, cheques and credit cards
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for our customers and event attendees, like conference guests
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness at the front area
- Proper handover before leaving shift
Qualifications
- A diploma in Hospitality.
- Must have previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably as a receptionist.
- Excellent Communication skills
- Good Customer service skills
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Must be orderly.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Good crisis management skills
